Do injured players still get trained in stamina and foul shots?

My understanding is yes.

Very very lucky that I have an extremely easy cup game

Spewing that I missed out on a player I was bidding on last night.

33k a week, 27 years old and would have been an excellent backup in the SF & PF positions.
Have one of the most expensive rosters in the league if not the most expensive and am sitting in the auto relegation spot

Yes that is one tight conference over there in the Big 8, we're much more relaxed over here in the Great 8. I guess that's why we're great you guys are just big! :-P

well with all this transfer market activity i thought id do a bit of research on transfer activity for August. PS: apologies on the formatting. I copied this from a pivot table. YES A PIVOT TABLE... someone was bored.

Team Bought Sold Total

Awesome -4372200 3827800 -544400
Corio 104100 104100
Cunning -953700 122400 -831300
Geelong Vipers -600000 469700 -130300
HA -1197600 578500 -619100
Mad Rangas 169200 169200
Mooses -2105600 1691000 -414600
South Gisborne Storm
Tannum -867000 1342400 475400
Team Akuma -1354100 -1354100
The Players -1041500 765800 -275700
Vios 2236200 2236200

So team Akuma have bought up big for the month, 1.3million of purchases, on 7 players, with no sales, but we all know he was running a tank-team last year. Myself have also spent up big, but i purchased a new C and SF from sales late last season.
Awesome has made 16 transfers in the last month! 10 purchases and 6 sales, combining for a half mill loss (there goes that promotion money!)
HA has also been busy, with 7 transfers, including one self-purcahse... nice one.
Vios sitting pretty with 2.2 mill in the bank from player sales alone.

The transfer market is almost non-existent, I don't really see much value in dicking around with it. It's almost impossible to make any money through training, which makes me wonder if it's even worth having a 3rd trainee, or if it would be cheaper to get rid of him and save on his salary each week?

The most activity on the transfer market seems to be guys buying in players before the finals, good chance for some managers to off-load their massive salary guys.

Overall, the transfer market pretty much sucks!

hahahhaha man do you have something to whinge about everything? :)

transfer market is pretty good, but you need to pick your time on when you want to buy/sell. The transfer market in the last few weeks have been a seller's market for well rounded players imo. A decent player with well rounded secondaries goes for heaps. Monsters with 6 figure salaries arent always the best indicator for a teams strength - the ones that go for cheap usually have a few glaring weaknesses.

cunning linguists analysis was great but only took a snapshot of the last month, so it doesnt tell the whole picture

if you look at my player transfers, i sold my team mid last season, making around $1M+
I basically just spent that money buying up new players, so im at an equilibrium in that space.

Similarly, Vios spent some big dollars buying up pre-playoffs, so the money he got for selling them balances out what he spent buying them in the first place. Although vios will be making a truckload of money tanking now. Im guessing at least 300k per week. Will be interesting to see what happens mid season.

My money says he will buy up and fight for relegation :)

yer ill restate it. was only for the last month.

I was actually just trying to highlight how much the new promoted teams and other guys had been buying/selling guys.

Then i get the numbers... DOH... myself and you are the top spenders for the month LOL.

but yes like u said, i did the same as you. sold off two starting 5 mid season last year, and bought replacements the last month. plus another guy because i have two big men injured at the moment.

still its interesting to see - it makes me nervous to know that other teams (like myself) are just sitting on cash, biding their time for the right purchases. the onflow effects of last seasons debacle of a season are still showing this season.
