Hello BB-Norwegians,

First, let me say thank you Norwegian community for electing me as the new coach of Norwegian NT. It's always a good sign when managers are interested and enthusiastic about their NT and from the BB-mails I recently received I can surely say that's true with the Norge community. Communication is the key and I'm open to any ideas.

I finished the initial scouting of the players and there is a decent amount of talent in the 'dressing room'. Hopefully, during the season, we can add additional skills in some departments. This Friday, after the training update, I will again recruit the players I've pre-selected in order to record any changes that might occur and I will have a better view of the squad.

Don't forget folks, training a domestic player is always the (economically) best option in BuzzerBeater. Check the transfer list from time to time and see if Norwegian player is available.

In the end, I would like to put an emphasis on the weekly minute management of your players. It would benefit both the NT and your team to maintain player's GS on levels 9/8 so lets keep those boys in shape.

For a good season!

Dear friends,

I've created a simple google form by which you can submit your player to the NT Norge Player Database. Please follow the link bellow and submit your answers.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHlYQ...
*this link will be also visible to the National Team Advertisement on players that meet the basic criteria.

Note: If you experience skill pop-up during the season please re-fill the form again so every change is recorded.

My dear friends,

tonight we start the new Euro campaign with an opening match against the neighbor Suomi. It's a match against one extremely strong opponent, world rank 11 and lead by the re-elected NT manager, Iso_Massimo who has excellent record with the team (0.75 winning percentage) in the last couple of seasons. A good manager for sure. We are going to need a bag of luck tonight and hopefully we can draw a positive result.

Our lineup and tactics for the premiere game will be:

LI, m2m
PG: Egon Olesen (8) / Godtfred Thomassen (7) / Amir Lidal (8)
SG: Stian Alm (9) / Håvard Vartdal (8) / Amir Lidal (8)
SF: Åge Guttormsen (7) / Karl Einar Hopedal (8) / Amir Lidal (8)
PF: Svein Hausken (8) / Karsten Johansen (8) / Geir Clausen (7)
C: Stefan Tillbrant (8) / Aanen Lian (7) / Geir Clausen (7)

My prediction for Suomi's lineup is

Motion/Princeton, m2m ----------- around 70% chance
PG Yrjö Tulppala (7) / Ralf Metsävaara (7)
SG: Eelis Koivumäki (8) / Antti-Ville Niiles (7)
SF: Antti Happonen (8) / Jarkko Vaahteroja (8)
PF: Niko Häikiö (7) / Anssi Roivainen (8)
C: Jarno Merikangas (8) / Aki Pasanen (7)

LI, m2m ------------------------------ around 30% chance
PG: Pertti Sirkeinen (8) / Ralf Metsävaara (7)
SG: Yrjö Tulppala (7) / Eelis Koivumäki (8)
SF: Jari Löf (8) / Antti Happonen (8)
PF: Jarno Merikangas (8) / Anssi Roivainen (8)
C: Aki Pasanen (7) / Niko Häikiö (7)

both options are quite strong, though

Let's start Norge!

Too bad we lost, but i just want to say that I am very pleased with the job you've done so far.
Keep it up and I'm sure we can get some good results and not a lot of thumbs down for you:)

Sure I hope we can progress. Current table:

No	Team W L PD %
1 Italia 1 0 +22 1.000
2 Belgium 1 0 +22 1.000
3 Suomi 1 0 +18 1.000
4 România 1 0 +1 1.000
5 Azərbaycan 0 1 -1 0.000
6 Norge 0 1 -18 0.000
7 Nederland 0 1 -22 0.000
8 Cyprus 0 1 -22 0.000

There were no surprises after the 1st Week of Euro Season 19.
Azərbaycan nearly shocked Romania, but were unlucky in the end (losing the game with a pair of FT's in the last second of the match).

No fireworks tonight for Norge NT as we were easily beaten by the BB powerhouse NT Suomi. We only won the 2nd quarter, but it was irrelevant after the disastrous first 12 minutes. We were ridiculously outrebounded and couldn't prevent their frontcourt stars from scoring; major factors of the defeat.

Tonight was a debut NT match for Svein Hausken who led the team with 24 pts. Per aspera ad astra Mr.Hausken.
Well, to reach the stars we must focus on training and minute management in the following weeks. Some of the owners of current/potential NT's may receive a training demand from me via BB-mail and please consider that option.

btw, there are a couple of nice Norwegian MVP's on the TL so you might want to check them out.

Good first effort and good estimate of Suomis tactics. I guess if he'd went for your 70% estimate we might even have won it. Should be a close one next week too, but certainly should have a shot against Belgium. Keep it up!

I hope for a good result next week also.

@ all current owners of NT players: We have to a better job regarding weekly minute (GS) management. Use Josef Ka's post about Game shape as a reference: (160760.2)

[table deleted]

For those managers that are having problem with minute management because of high stamina one suggestion is to acquire a doctor with massage specialty and the other suggestion is the usage of the common 2 game per week lineups as when training single position ---> 48 minutes in the first match (playing the target player as starter, backup and reserve, with 9 players in total selected for the game; let them play with foul trouble + strictly follow depth chart in the substitute pattern) + 10-16 minutes in the second (final match of a given week; filed the player as backup and reserve).
