I will b e training SG next season because my post player already reached their soft cap and I am seriously lacking on the outside. So transitioning to outside training would be a natural path. I am however surprised that there are no inside trainers for MBBA.
Inside players are certainly a lot easier to train and a lot faster as well. As most inside players only train 3 main skills (IS, ID, and RB). The training rate for the 3 main skills are really short compared to outside skills. Just take defense will be a good example. Single position training on ID takes only 1-2 weeks but OD will need 2-3 weeks.
Also inside skills can be trained by playing at Center only. Outside skill need to switch between playing at PG (Pressure) or SG (Jump range).
If all 3 skills are at average (6), to reach sensational (12) will need increase of 18 points. This should be able to be achieved within 2 seasons time if single position training. Meaning in 2 seasons time you will be able to get minimum 2 Centers with 40K salary definitely U21 NT material by our current standards.
But please also note that because inside players are so easy to train the market price for the players are also lower. A 40K center will be worth a lot less than a 40K SG in the market. But it will not be a concern if you train to keep in your team and for NT.
TIP
1. Post players will need a minimum allstar potential or preferable perennial allstar potential to avoid reaching the soft cap so fast (Mine will hit soft cap as he is Allstar :( ). Allstar soft cap is at 40k to 60k, perennial allstar soft cap at 80K to 100K.
2. You need to ensure he has acceptable height. Min 206cm Pref 211 cm.
3. Non-inside skills are harder to train, ensure that sub skills are high (Handling, Passing, JS)
