It's just a convention, there's no big deal about it. Either 7 represents the interval (7;8) or the interval (6.5;7.5), I don't see any confusion emanating from this

I agree it is just trivial, but still would be interesting to know :P I would be very surprised if it wasn't 7 to 8, but that's just me :)

Yeah that would also seem like the natural choice for me, but in my line of business we tend to not care about conventions :P

Hopefully someone can enlighten us. If it does turn out that 7.5 gets rounded up to 8, I would love to know the reasoning behind it as it would just seem bizarre to me.

Yes, I can confirm that.

6.5 <= enth. < 7.5 --> enth.=7
7.5 <= enth. < 8.5 --> enth.=8
and so on

There's a simple confirmation: if you CT a game at the start of the season, the enthusiasm drops from 5 to 3. Since it is confirmed that CT'ing a game cuts your enthusiasm to half, this means that 2.5 is rounded to 3.
But it's not only that, I've been analyzing my team's enthusiasm fluctuactions in the past seasons and it's quite obvious that the number is always rounded to the closest integer (x.5 being the only ambiguous case, but it's common choice in mathematical functions to round up in that case, just try the ROUND function in excel and you'll see).

That makes a lot of sense.

Would this mean that it would take longer for the enthusiasm to reset from 2.5 back to 5 rather than from 3 to 5? In other words, if it takes three days for the enthusiasm to go from 3 to 5, then would it take an extra day for the enthusiasm to get that extra 0.5 back up to 5?

I would say no, because when you reach 4.5 it shows as 5 already

ah okay. I wonder if that applies to game shape and skills as well... anyway do you know how they worked out that CT lowers enthusiasm by 50%? Was it just speculation or is it a definite answer.

When I have a very low enthusiasm (4 maybe), and I really want to win this next game, would it be advisable to play CT? I have to win or at least not get blown out.
