I think passing is very important for a SF seeing they are the link between the big men and guards.

I must confess I was very disappointed in you.

the complete answer isn't that easy, and maybe you see it in the three different contributions that there are also different views of the importance from the skills so it is hard to make it in way that everyone agrees. If oyou ask me how i will distribute it, i am also pretty sure you will see small difference everytime i make it because this topic is very complicated.
You will also see differences betwenn the communitis in some skills, french for example trained a lot driving in the past(i believed that changed today) while italy nearly ignored it at those time but both NT manage to have succes ;)

But the post from the sticky was pretty crappy, because it was made in the beginning of the game where we have less feeling for the engine and especially we now have a new one ;) So i like to make at least the short reply that you should ignore it, because of the many faults(underrating Defense i.e.).

In my Opinion here are the most important skills for an SF (since im training one for the U21 NT :D)

1. Outside Defence and Inside Defence
2. Jump Shot and Jump Range (some people like an inside oriented SF, but that makes no sense, just make a PF then haha)
3. Inside Shot, Rebounding, Passing (now a lot of people say that Rebounding is VERY important. To me, maybe proficient or prominent is good enough)
4. Driving (more important of course if the IS is really good)
5. The rest of the skills?

It depends what you are doing. I play a 3-guard offense with a premium on passing. If you have that sort of attack, JS/JR/H/DR are necessary. Lots of 1on1 training helps matters dramatically in that area.

Um, did you say a premium on passing? Then Driving is definitely NOT important. So you just countered your own point about lots of One on One training.

Remember, passing is to look for the open man. However, DR is fine when you can make your own shot, in which Passing can play a major role in finding the open space necessary. So, 1on1 training is very important in this rgard as well as passing training.

i don't like the driving too, but especially for SF it is a great training because you learn a lot for the offense ;)

Driving training has to be the easiest and cheapest skill to buy on the transfer list. I would only train this if you have a tough week and have to spread your minutes over the SF/PF positions. If you want passing go 1 position til you get everyone on Sensational+ then go back to the other skills you want.

Id rather have a guard with OD 12 and PA 12 and DR/HD 6 than DR/HD 12 and PA/OD 6... there is about 2mil difference between those skill sets and thats just on a mediocre player.
