My 23yo PG trains somewhat slower compared to my 20yo SG and my other 18yo trainees. So I would call it a big difference.

Every season during the offseason (so just before each season begins) every player (except retired players and new draftees) will age an extra year.

As far as training guards, I have 3 19yo trainees, a 23 yo I still train, and a 22 yo I get half training minutes per week usually.

As far as I can see, the 23 yo doesn't train TOO MUCH slower, it's still a bit slower, but only by a small fraction of a level per week, perhaps 0.15-0.2 skillpoints a week. A big difference in the long run, but for short term, it's not at all bad.

You can't train guards and big men each week or am i missing something here. Unless u mean your training big man skills on your guards.

I have the same kinda problem. I'm training guards at the moment but I also have several big men that I want to train. But I haven't trained them this season yet but i've been focusing on the guards...not sure when to switch.

I tried doing that when I started out as well but its not viable. If you're not training your young players you are losing out on their transfer value. If you want to maximize on player's potential abilities and transfer prices this game offers no option other than to train either guards or big men as groups over an extended period of time. In the meantime for whichever group you're not training, you should sell your young players and replace them with older experienced ones. Maybe doesn't make a lot of basketball sense but its the best way to do well quickly in this game.

On the other hand if you are determined to train all your young players team training might be an option, but one that will lead to a lot of useless training - for example, shot blocking for guards.
