Nobody has ever won the B3 from the US I believe. Watch out for brian tho.

NBBA isn't impossible, getting there is just like anything else, promote, survive, build, promote, survive, build etc etc. Ton of luck involved of course. A lot people find the jump from D3 to D2 daunting, but once you get there you get used to it.

Thanks Korey for the offsite forum plug.

I don't know, I just look at the league and I see a majority of the team that from S2 and S3 and I know I shouldn't play on being there in the next 5 or 6 seasons is all.

Hard to argue with that. I will say that there are a lot of teams that started around the same time I did (S8), that are at the top of their respective D2s and are very very close to promoting.

You could look at your stay in V as a time to play, learn, trade, amass seed money. Because while being in a higher division gives you more money, its a lot harder to train out of position, and in general you're limited to playing your starters high minutes. In V you can sign and play 3k guys and win the championship.

My point is I actually think there is something attractive at the low levels that new teams shouldn't overlook in their hurry to promote to get to higher divisions. Just enjoy the flexibility to try all the tactics and different kinds of players.

This guy(jfarb) is living proof that a D.V team can some day make it to the NBBA.

If you're not planning/hoping to get into NBBA then you're playing the game wrong.

Making bold statements like "when I get to the NBBA" is not the same as planning to rise to the top. Planning/hoping and expecting are different. I would say a large number of teams that promote from V to IV, or especially from IV to III arent ready to compete at the next level yet and struggle to stay or tumble right back. Thinking forward and long term is great, but I always recommend to new players to scout and see what it takes to stay in the next league up, not just get there. I have clawed and fought my way into II and am hanging in there and I am still not ready to claim to the community "When I get to the NBBA", but hey that's just me to each their own. Not claiming it wont diminish my efforts one bit

And I soundly disagree completely with your thought process.

Ah I see your stance, you just want everyone to be quiet managers, you don't want new teams to get pumped about their future/hopes. I just think your forgetting the social factors of the game, theres press releases, nation team forums, league forums for a reason. Of course most teams arent ready to compete at the next level, thats why they have to plan and act with a plan appropriately.
