So, i'm sitting in the II league of LTU and this season is the first, that i have decided to use only my nationality players.
Everything was going all right, Merchandise profit was going up and up, till i have bought the last player to my team. Lithuanian with ~100k salary. I was hoping for Merchandise profit to go up more, but it's already third week, that there is no difirence. It's not the worst player, and i was taking only victories.

10/12/2012 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 61 450
17/12/2012 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 61 539
24/12/2012 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 62 443
31/12/2012 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 61 910

Transfer 16/12/2012 22 Purchased from NAUJIEJI RUSAI for $ 638 000

My question would be, is there some kind of merchandise profit limit in the II league, or it's just some kind of missunderstanding? T.y. for answers.

For now i am almost 99% sure, that there is some cap. I have tried to compare few similiar teams to mine in difirent leagues (league possition, wins/loses, cup, and nationality) and have made a conclusion, that only 3 countrymen starters are making difference in merchandise profit. I do not know, where goes the rest, but it's not counting in the profit.

I have never developed any of my draft picks even though i have been playing this game for years. I have never had a remotely decent draft pick worth trianing. My question is, if I buy and train English players will that help increase my merchandising in the same way as it would if I trained draft picks?

Thanks. I might try and train my picks for next season no matter how bad they might be. It might be fun.

Is this an adequate place to whine? I always feel like I'm at such a disadvantage with merch.

My merch was below average last season with ~$700k salary and 3 senior NT players, including 2 Canadians. Our league does consist of many Canadian-heavy teams, but it's a poor league overall. No one uses more than a moderately high payroll (mine was one of the highest) and only 1-3 teams actively try to win.

My merch plummets every week and currently sits at $40k. I didn't even know it could get that low in D.I. I'm doing absolutely nothing to help alleviate it aside from being over the the salary floor, but last season is reason enough for me to believe it's lose-lose.

I just don't get merch.
