Pini, before talking about elections and wanting impose once again your suggestions, you should look how the elections does work currently. All the countries around the world have candidates. Many of the small countries have candidates coming from all the part of the world. There is no need to publicize the fact to candidate in a country or another. In fact, candidating somewhere should the result of a long réflexion, not a sudden wish.

Yes, because it is much better to have BB-nation w/o a coach.
Much easier to win that way...
How didn't I thought the Perepete way...

In the past days, I saw you asking questions that every experienced managers know while you are here asking for 50 changes a week.

Some thinks how to improve the game, some aren't familiar with some features, as they are not that experienced at the game, and some just want their eBay-game to be left alone, and keep all its eBay features...

There is a problem with micronations in that often there are only a handful of votes so as said you could easily have a new player, just trying the game for a few weeks, votes for himself for the NT coach, wins with the only vote and three weeks later quits the game.

Two suggestions that could help this:

1 Allow people from outside the nation to see who is currently registered in the election. Seems obvious that you should know who you are running against. In what election do you not know the opponents? Then people that are looking for a nation to coach can discover ones that have few, no or no competent candidates rather than wasting their chances in nations where there are several local candidates that didn't bother posting a speech.

2 Change the rules to allow midterm elections when there is no coach. The normal procedure of going to the second candidate is fine. But when there aren't any more then there should be an automatic trigger for a new election.

After all, if you didn't vote during the elections, why would you cry afterwards if the elected guy isn't reliable.

Well I am training guys for the Aussie teams so I don't care (and we have encouraged a couple of people to be "backups" to avoid this situation) but imagine you had just spent four seasons training a brilliant player for the Polish NT only for the coach to go bot and there to be no replacement. It isn't just the players in the country affected but those managers that spent a long time grooming players for the team. They don't get a vote.

I think the owners of NT players and the previous coach (if it was a foreigner) should have the right to vote NT coaches.

Voting should be disabled for people running in a domestic election.

Especially in micro countries this could lead to even less domestic NT coaches, in bigger countries this would make a small difference I guess.

Maybe its not possible to make that happen, because of various reasons (cheating mainly), but a NT witthout a coach is a bad thing that should get fixed really quick.

1) As you can see, I've already suggested both points you've brought, so I support them...

2) Another thing is not to allow self voting.
Who will not vote for himself?
There is a limitation that I do not find relevant - you can register to be next NT coach, but could not vote to yourself in case you are registering to a BB-nation that is not yours.

I understand that they want to eliminate a case that one big BB-nation will take "in costady" another BB-nation (bunch of users uniting and voting for a user from their home BB-nation at the other BB-nation (in case allowing all users who are registered to cast a vote at that BB-nation).

But, by elimination any voting of the users registered to be the next coach of that BB-nation (or more precisely defining that they are, by definition, voting to themselves), this problem is eliminated.
