In think my style/philosophy is different than yours. 13/13/13/7 doesn't really appeal to me.

Check the Suggestions they are important

Well your style lacks inside defense, I think in D.IV the ID on starting bigs should be atleast 11 or 12 but maybe thats just my tough league

If this is for D.3 I wouldn't take either one, I would get one with better ID. I would rather have someone like 13/13/13/7 for inside skills with good stamina and FT and decent secondaries.

ID is far more important than IS.

When you consider the importance of both skills, IS is one part of several skills needed to get a successful basket. ID is primarily what creates unsuccessful shots. 10 IS a lot less beneficial than 10 ID.

Same goes for OD.

As a result, I wouldn't be looking at either of those Cs on my team.

I would take a balanced player like the 13/13/13/7 guy with good guard skills mentioned over an unbalanced player with high ID every time.

I think far too many BB managers are far to quick to sacrifice balance for high defense and they end up with great defensive teams that can't score efficeintly.

That's not to say that defense isn't important, but I would argue it's all important and you shouldn't put too much focus on one aspect.

I absolutely agree, particularly with how high salaries are becoming in comparison to what a manager can buy with their money.

My comments were simply directed towards the differences in IS and ID between the two mentioned players.

i completeky agree with you on that.i bought some defensive dudes and sold most of the earlier players and i had a team in which each starter had a minimum of wondrous defense and backups with a minimum of tremendous defense.though my team became a really good defending team but my offense was really poor.so i had to buy a couple of big men to strengthen my attack.
