How was this not a poll Matty?

Born in SA but lived in Vic since age six.

Quick quiz, which Australian city is constanlty listed as one of the ten most livable cities in the entire world?

Last time I was in Jerusalem there were checkpoints on most intersections, armed guards even for pizza shops, burnt out cars, a serious 8PM curfew and religious extremists on both sides wanting to hurt the other side. Not exactly the most livable.

@Yoda
I'm thinking I might what to go travelling soon so was doing some research (google-ing :P). I think I came across it, it's Melbourne right?

But I'm from NSW, but having never spent much time in any of the other states. I'm in no position to judge which is the best state in Australia.

I'm interested to see if anyone thinks that another state is a better state than their own?

While I love Melbourne and do think it is the most livable city in the world I think there are more exciting places to visit. Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns and Perth are all probably better unless you come down for an event like F1, Grand Final, Australian Open, Melbourne Cup, Comedy Festival etc when the city is a total buzz. But just looking at it's sites compared to the other tourist hot spots it wouldn't be my top recomendation although The Great Ocean Road is very impressive and overseas visitors go crazy at Healsville and Phillip Island.

Did you just use 'exciting' and 'Perth' in the same paragraph? Too much drinky drinky tonight?

I lived in Cairns for many a year and, while it is beautiful in the colder parts of the year, it's stinking hot the other times. Not pleasant at all..
