and... now my starting C is injured!!! lol, you've taken out 2/5 of my starting lineup in less than 2 weeks!
I really am sorry…does it help that this guy got hurt too (6821763)?

The UK/Swanson game was a joke, in my opinion. I’m not saying Swanson shouldn’t have won, but both high priced big guys getting knocked out the game was outrageous.

yeah, that's pretty odd how that happens. The wrong player gets hurt for both of them. Otherwise they were both extremely lucky with their low # of injuries the last month of the season + playoffs. (only 1 for each? haven't been following closely). I'm without 2 starters for all 4 playoff games & am hardly some fluke example.

In the mean time, the Draft is looking pretty decent this year. Better than my others at least.

But you can't really tell potential though? (i mean, you wanted an MVP or ATG, not another perennial AS)

BTW, do you think you'll get a decent 2nd round pick? (curious if my last pick of the 1st round is destined to completely suck or not)

You know, it's hard to say, each draft is different and I rarely get any good players beyond the first round, however, I have a top 5 and feel one of them may very well fall to the second round if the odds work in my favor. I've scouted every 18y/o's star rating (Didn't scout all of the players potential, at least not the prospects that had 4 star ratings). There are 6 with a star rating of 5, one of which has 1 potential, yikes. The other 5 seem to be pretty solid. My top 2 selections both have 5 potential and are 18 years of age. Only down side to this draft is the fact that I did not see a single A+ grade. The highest was an A. All in all, this seasons draft seems to be filled with great talented prospects, however, although it does have a few exceptional players, they seem to lack certain things like -- being a 6-4 center, or lack of A+ grades, nothing too special, but you don't really know until their skills are revealed.

Describe the prospect you are inquiring about -- Height, age, stats, rating -- anything that will help me, help you, haha. If you want to keep it confidential, BB-mail me.

BTW: Congrats on the win tonight. 1 down, 1 more to go.

To answer your first question, my other drafts' best prospects had 5 star ratings with 4 potential. This draft, in terms of star ratings, potential, and the amount of solid prospects, it's 10x better than my others.. I think the minimum for a 5 star potential athlete is superstar, still not what I want, though, but I'll take that over what I've been getting. (However, I could be wrong. I think Gosling was a 4 star rating with 5 potential -- ended up being a P-AS).

I have a question about my arena development that I hope someone doesn't mind helping me with. Here is my current seating capacity:

9100 Bleachers
1250 Lower
300 Courtside
15 Luxury Boxes

I know I am woefully behind in building up my arena for D 2 standards. What would be the most efficient use of my money to start with? I can't break the bank to do everything at once unfortunately. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Just a quick run through of your current arena prices vs. construction costs:

1 bleacher seat = $200. Current price = $13. Result: needs to sell 15.38 times to recover investment.
1 lower tier seat = $700. Current price = $48. Result: needs to sell 14.58 times
1 courtside seat = $2000. Current price = $145. Result: needs to sell 13.79 times
1 luxury box = $16000. current price = $975. Result: needs to sell 16.41 times.

Of course that's not the full picture, because you're not always selling out some of those seats as is, so you'd need to factor that in. The boxes seem to be selling out consistently for you at that price and those seats are least effected by results, so that helps. Conversely, your bleachers have been empty quite a bit. Lower tier and courtside are closer to consistently full.

Coming back in 7th place, you probably want to focus more on non-bleacher seats. The more expensive a seat is, the more the ticket price weighs in determining if it sells, and the less your fan survey does. So on the assumption that you're likely to have a middle-to-lower placing in the standings again, I'd probably focus on a mix of courtside and lower tier. The one thing I'll add is that I haven't run your luxury box pricing through the USA Offsite's attendance helper - if they're heavily underpriced as it is you may need to increase the price or build more of those as well, if not both.

Thanks for the breakdown.
Decided to do the group demonstration & there were no 1-star players & only 3 2-star players. 2 were 5-star, & 9 4-star.

So the unscouted estimates were pretty bad, to say the least!

There are 6 with a star rating of 5, one of which has 1 potential, yikes.

I would have really liked getting the 5-star 1 potential guy a few seasons ago. Could have maxed him out with team training / cross training over the length of his career!

BTW: Congrats on the win tonight. 1 down, 1 more to go.

Thanks, but I'll probably still find a way to lose. GS training really screwed me over too. Not to mention really went RS's way. (he had one of the luckiest GS trainings i've ever seen!) His PF with like 95 minutes even popped to proficient somehow...

I'm curious to see the results though. I remember someone being really insistent that the game engine didn't produce wildly variable results. (They were insanely confident, & sounded foolish quite honestly). There's no way a GS or HCA is worth a 25-30 point swing in & of itself, so...

That was my problem 2 seasons ago. Had a lvl 5 doctor, yet, suffered (a franchise record) 6-7 injuries! Lmao. I was so infuriated.
