Boston isn't screwed. I believe they will try to trade Rondo and they will go for a top pick next year in a loaded draft including Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, etc. so I think they will be in good shape. It is about as good as they could do with blowing everything up. They will be fine in a few years.

Andrew Wiggins- The next Lebron James
Jabrari Parker- The next Carmelo Anthony
Julius Randle- The next Kevin Garnett
Next years draft will also include Marcus Smart and possibly Mitch McGary and the Harrison brothers along with many other people. It is going to be a beast draft.

No one is giving an unprotected pick in next year's draft unless it's for Carmelo, LBJ, or Durant.

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Boston isn't trading Rondo AT ALL! The whole point is to make the team Rondo's. The rebuilding process starts with him at the core.

We'll see. I think that Rondo will eventually be traded, though.

A couple of observations:
- An inexperience coach that just inherited two players almost as old as him. (playoffs its all about adjustments, don't see either kidd or frank being good enough)
- Kevin Garnett was switched to center because of the foot speed and the less stress on his body. Would be nice to see how they deal with the fashion small lineups of today's nba.
- No bench whatsoever, teletovic is inconsistent, jason terry had a miserable season last year, and tyshawn taylor is not an
efficient backup. We have to see about plumlee
I see them behind the heat, pacers, and bulls.

There are so many free agents this offseason. Do you honestly think that they won't pick up anybody good of the free agency? Especially with all the talent that is on their team now. They are already looking at getting Kyle Korver who would be an amazing backup on their team. That will give them two solid backup guards.

No, but they Nets don't need the strongest off season pickups ever. Just backups that can put up minutes and be productive, and there are plenty of those guys.

Lets be realistic for a second.
Nets Starting Five
Deron Williams:18.5 M
Joe Johnson:21.5 M
Paul Pierce:15.3 M
Kevin Garnett:12.4 M
Brook Lopez:14.7 M
That adds up to $82.4 million for that starting five, which already would put the Nets at more than $20 million over the projected salary cap for 2013-14. Add in Terry’s $5.2 million, and we’re reaching $90 million for not even half the roster.

I don't think te lack of bench is an issue... It's not like they need to run all 5 of them or 4 of them plus terry at all times. You have 6 players that with any 2 on the court at the same time can be dangerous. 3 on the court at all times can get them to the playoffs easy in the east. Then long as their healthy... Playoffs only time you really need to extend their minutes and run 4+ of them on court at a time
