Well, you paid for that RB didn't you, it's not like it comes for free! The ratings in outside offences are definitely lower, so it stands to reason that in the long run your total rebounds are also lower...unless ratings are meaningless for rebounding :P

I doubt rebounding is determined by individual match ups the way scoring is. I'm talking about team ratings.

If your team rating sucks compared to the opponent and you have a guy with high RB he will get a a hefty share of rebounds, but you're still looking at much fewer overall possessions for your team. You're looking at something like this with a few more rebounds concentrated in some positions: (85154449)

No matter what your team rating is and your total rebounds compared to your opponent's, in a team with low RB at every position the boards will be split around. I have tons of examples about this.

I think the GE calculates ratings, determines the overall number of shots, ORs, steals, TOs etc etc and then assigns them to players based on skills and match ups. If your ratings are lower you will get fewer rebounds. If you have 18 RB players at PF and C your team ratings will be higher and you will get more rebounds and if the rest of the team sucks they will be heavily concentrated in those 2.

And as a mater of fact, playing the same exact lineup in inside tactics, gives higher RB ratings than any of the outside tactics.

In my opinion we will see many players trained as PGs playing the PF or SF, maybe even C position in the near future, as the (PG) salary formula can be exploited to a certain degree.

That will be pretty interesting to watch.

Outside scoring is about exploiting opportunity. My game last night was a great example (85577696) if he had gone 3-2 I would have been in the crapper, if he had gone man he probably wins, but he went 2-3 and that coupled with motion allowed my guys to get the looks all night long. If I had run anything else on this evening I have my doubts if it would have passed muster. RNG would have been too willy nilly and Princeton in my book on my grade curve tends to not be nearly as effective.

And look inside would of been quite okay, because his weak OD would not be able to stop your driving guards.

Must disagree in full, it would have been a wank because he matched up well inside, and the goal of LI and LP is to jam it in the paint https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a8wqmyyFJw

but I know where you are heading, here is the match up I went that route with (85577680)

To me the key problem of outside offences is the penalty to team rebounding. In outside offences not only you miss more, but also you rebound fewer of those misses. If they removed the penalties to rebounding compared to inside offences it would be already a significant improvement.
