I agree about that, I said I support the tax already. But I still think it should've been more gradual, instead of flat like this. Many people assumed the weekly incomes would be taxed, instead of the whole back account.

Also, this part:

The Chinese manager recently said he had 35 mil, and played in league finals, so probably more than 55 mil in assets.

On that subject, what do you think about my previous discussion with gianloco about evening the field between micro and macro, by making attendance dependent on league strength, instead of league level?

Well, it probably applies to less than 1% of all the teams in BB, and most of them have so much money that the tax doesn't even make a dent. Yeah, I would have to agree with you -- lenient for sure.
It does make a dent, it actually chews off everything above 25 mil. For example if a team had 50 mil at the given week, they would be paying 2.5 million tax that week.

Dent? Not much, it still leaves 47.5 million, so I think the sky is not falling.

That's true. Even 25 million is enough to overwhelm most teams many times over.

Lol, he'd be losing 2.5 million each week. I'd say that's pretty significant.

Overall, I support the tax though since it rewards teams who are able to get the biggest bang for their buck, not teams who just have the most money. While you could say having alot of money is sign of good managerial skills, and I would agree, the problem is, if you play long enough, you don't really need much skill to accumulate very large amounts of money. And if managers were just able to grow their money indefinitely, it would be very hard and become eventually impossible for newer managers to catch up.

When an 18 year old with 58 tsp sells for $9.7 million, you have a real indication of why there needs to be a limit on what teams can accumulate. When a div4 team outbids a div3 teams $9.5 million bid, you have the real answer to why inflation has reached the drastic situation it has become.

Teams think they need tens of millions to make a run at the top leagues, and the fact that more teams realized that is the best way to do it, you now have a situation where that figure has increased due to the hyperinflation that strategy has inflicted.

If the bb's don't bring in a more "limiting" financial system, new teams won't be able to buy anything with their $400k, and will take 10+ seasons of building to compete in their own division.

but when you have competitive teams or even top leagues averaging more than $100k profit a week, the prices can only go up.

Well I'm going to stay in my league then and hoard up a small fortune. I nearly promoted last season while spending the floor, but there is no incentive to do so.

I do what is in my best interests within the system as it is. Its up to the bb's to do what is best for the game.

With the cost of level 5 trainers being triple what they were a few seasons ago, I'd say more money has had the opposite effect.

Maybe one trainer tripled in cost but if so, then 3-6 players tripled in selling price. That's a lot of profit and that is exactly what Marin intended. He came right out and said the reason for what he did to the economy was to make training more profitable to try to get more players trained. I always thought that reforming training would get more players trained without wrecking the rest of the game.

Frankly what you have been repeating over and over is different, at least for what I've read. You hate training, you don't want training to be in any part involved with the success in this game.
I have no idea what you have been reading, but that's fair because you seem to have no idea what I advocate. Your idea of "train with ease 6-7 HoF caliber player" seems ludicrous to me, by the way.
