From training speed analysis via important threads:

From BBCharles, "Driving and handling are very, very similar skills, and training either one will now also result in about 80% of training on the other."

If handling and driving are so similar, so why would it make sense have two different skills?

Maybe handling is (at least also) an important defensive skill. In the german translation of buzzercontrol outside defense is translated as "Raumdeckung" which means defending in zones whereas handling is translated as "Manndeckung" which points to a defense skill in an one on one setting - would this make sense to you?

I can easily imagine that a player who is strong at handling the ball can give hard times to those who cannot...

Handling does not impact defense.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

If you want to see the impact of a skill on game performance check out the transfer market and you can learn a lot.

For example, search for players with atrocious free throw shooting and you will see a lot of guys who have gone like 0/25 at the line for the season. So, low free throw shooting skill means you miss a lot from the line.

You can use this method to help see the game impact of various skills.

Handling is an offensive skill. It'sa about how player can control the ball and such things.

docend24, umm...

We have more the established that during this post.

I equate your post to standing up in the middle of a presidential debate and saying,"So both of you think you can do a better job than each other?"

Funny but unnecessary.
