What is so impossible with involving the community and encouraging them to train their draftees?

Also, I do not see you coming up with your own clear cut plan on what to do. All you say is you want the the u21 to be the best, but no real plan of action.

I suggested to create a player database before. What I wanted is to create a site wherein the u21 manager, assistant coaches, scouts, and u21 owners can see. Make a multiply page, which is very feasible, then you suggested a site that only techies can do. You said that this would be of a disadvantage to the owner of the u21 player since his opponents can see his stats. You said that his stats should only be seen by the manager. Then you ran for the position. Which I think is very selfish.

Discussion should be found here: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/BBWeb/forum/read.aspx?thread=...

Those from the TDP post their player's stats even if they are from the same league. They share tips and tactics and want everyone to improve. Which imo is the best way to go. That is the community that I want to achieve here. How is that impossible?

I already have the plan on who's the first 12, only to be finalized once i get their full skills, in which i didn't ask earlier because I'm still not a U21 coach...

my plan of action i believe could be found on this page... (75076.3)

Of course I can't say anything more than that because my first plan is to find a couple of managers who would give aid... How can i bake a cake when there's no flour?

Also, i haven't thought of it at first, through experience i thought to myself not to post skill sets of players on public threads for the purpose of securing their skills to other foreign scouts, filipinos aren't only the ones who are viewing the threads. In TDP, it should be fine, because it is on their own will, own risk.

Selfish? If i would be the U21 coach, if securing the players skills to others is to be called being selfish, then yes, i am selfish.

You do know that multiply can be restricted to friends, yes?

TDP on the other hand can be found by Googling TDP Buzzerbeater or whatever, and could be viewed by non-members, hence is a public thread. Now you are talking about scouts, before it was just a 'disadvantage'.

Also, playing better and winning is hardly a "plan of action".

I'm not gonna use TDP as means for scouts... also, i didn't say that they have to post their skills there for NT purposes...

In TDP, it should be fine, because it is on their own will, own risk.

this means that it should be fine, for their own purpose, not for the NT/U21 sake...

if ever they find any talent for U21, it should be sent through PM which is more private...

it's getting hot in here!!!LOL!!!

speaking as a senior member of this community, i believe that it takes more than planning and ideas to run our NT. we all can talk big and say "i will do this, i will do that" but in reality, none of the former NT managers (including me) have been succesful in reaching the final elimination round. Although we can't really blame them for the lack of talent in the Filipino player pool as other countries already had a 2 or 3 season head start compared to us.

i propose that the candidates give us proof (creating a website, opening multiply account, starting a private forum, etc.) that they really are serious in acomplishing their job.

another point i would like other voters to take into consideration is that a NT manager must not only posses organizational skills but as well as SOCIAL skills. he needs this to properly coordinate with his player's owners in order to effectively train them.

please vote wisely.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...tapos wala na...

For now, we are all in planning stage pa muna... because neither of us are sure kung sino ang mananalo sa eleksyon... as for me, I am currently sending messages to managers, not to ask for their votes, but to get information on their players, kasi maigsi na lang ang time span once maupo ka na as coach di ba? and lagi ko sinasabi na training lang muna and i am considering them in case i win the election.

I guess that's the most that we can do, for now.

I think we should start assembling a staff. People who are willing to help either manager in case they win. Whether it is scouting, mentoring or whatever, we need to have a group of managers we can mobilize.

I think NT coach Norman Black and outgoing U21 coach UbAldo should handle this. I will volunteer myself and I think we should also invite cheri if he wants. Also, a manager from IV.54 (55173) scouted draftees from his division and posted them on the U21 thread. I think we should invite him too.

Wow guys. This is really a good discussion. Hehe.

JSMoove, I believe we have what it takes to compete in the NT level, but of course let's be realistic. We're not at the USA-Spain-Italy level yet.
But doesn't it make you proud that we are able to beat teams ranked in the top 20 i.e. Hongkong. That's no easy feat, but we surely still need some more improvements.

@JSMoove.

Hands down, you are one of the best managers here in BB. But you're goal of having a well-rounded U21/NT team na hindi lagi gumagamit ng Look Inside, well, at this point I dont see that being a good idea. Believe me, we have good guards with wondrous jump shots and all, but with game shape of average and very low perimeter defense, in my opinion wag na lang. Focus on our strengths nalang and hopefully with the likes of Devastator makakakuha narin tayo sa wakas ng malakas na perimeter defender, at the same time scorer. That's what we need talaga.

Ang problema kasi in both U21 and NT natin is we are SO PREDICTABLE. Look inside tayo malakas. that's it. Heck, kkahit nga 3-2 zone lang tayo Average lang yung perimeter defense natin. That's not good.

What we need is proper mentoring, i Agree with you JSMOove. Letting the new users know how to properly train their players.

Good luck to you guys.
