Sounds amazing, Im off to China in late March for work.

First trip overseas for 23 or so years.

I have no expectations of being able to see any of the touristy things though

Some of the guys you play wouldn't even be 23.

Not a bad effort by Mages to get 3 of the top 5 in the MVP including the winner.

Unfortunately I was unable to see any of the tourist attractions as our factory/office is in Pingshan, which is basically and industrial city. The workers come from their home towns, live in dorms near their factories and only head back home once a year for holidays during the New Year celebrations.

I was lucky that there is one Aussie up there who made sure I was well looked after and he even speaks relatively good Mandarin. Was very different being the minority and seeing how people reacted to the only two white guys in Pingshan. Some not so friendly and some honest shocked reactions from the locals. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and took in as much as possible. Great to see the people I work with in their own environment and put faces to names. Apparently it is likely that won't be my last visit!

One important lesson learned, watch out for ganbei baijiu... Your stomach will feel like you were drinking battery acid for a couple of days after. Ganbei meaning "cheers or bottoms up" and baijiu being the Chinese wine. We went out with one of our suppliers for lunch and if the host offers you ganbei, it is rude to turn it down (or so I was told...).

Would love to see the attactions you mentioned above and I'm sure one day it will be a likely thing. HK was amazing flying out at night too, have to see it to believe it. The airport is equally amazing but somehow extremely well organised and easy to navigate.

Not really, looks like a matter of HCA will win the day... Assuming you both keep playing inside and m2m defence. Will be close but I think you will win, up to Vics to try something different.

Come on Aussie you can do it!

They got 37 free throws, I doubt that will happen again but losing the rebounds 53-30 was horrible. You need a solution to that situation unless it was a one game fluke.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie,
oi, oi, oi!
