Big call for the Crows to finish on top, even with the favourable draw.

I think the Pies will end up on top and beat Hawthorn in the GF.

The Brownlow will be interesting. Pendlebury was my tip at the start of the season and was looking good until the injury... it probably depends on how many games he misses. Ablett will surely poll well (even if tremell adamantly disagrees with me), will be interesting to see how many 3's he gets in games where they've gotten smashed (and there's been plenty).

I'll go with Sidebottom for Norm Smith and I'll stick with my pre-season prediction of Buddy for the Coleman.

I actually picked the Gold Coast to win the wooden spoon at the start of the sseason (with GWS 17th), but I think it will end up coming down to the second GWS v Gold Coast game, so hard to pick (it's played on the Gold Coast, if that helps).

I agree, I think the spoon will come down to that game. I think GWS will get over the line there, but I don't think either time will beat anyone else this year.

It's a big call re: the Crows, but if you look through our draw - there are only two games there I can see that we might not start favourites in - Geelong at Cat Park and the Eagles here in Adelaide. Assuming we lose both, and win the rest (yes, big assumption, but just going on current form), that gives us 18-4. We play Melbourne, Gold Coast, GWS and Port, so you'd think our percentage will stay decent. So, I reckon it's a pretty good thing that we'll get at least top 2. I think we'll lose in the prelim this year, though.

Brownlow - I agree, the Pendles injury has thrown it open. Ablett will get a lot of 2s, I suspect, but I don't know if it'll be enough. Scott Thompson is my smokey because he's had probably 5-6 BOGs so far for us this year, and we've won 9 out of 11. Last year he polled well when we sucked, so I think he could poll very well indeed this year.

Fair call re Scott Thompson, especially considering the number of games you've won.

I had another look at your draw and you're right, it's a very favourable run home. It's going to come down to winning those 'should win' games i.e. North Melbourne at Etihad, Port at home, Brisbane at the Gabba, etc. You're right though, you'll start favourites in all of those, just gotta hope they turn up to play every week.

Top 2 will guarantee a home prelim (assuming you win at home in Week 1), sets you up very nicely to make the GF...

Probably go with Collingwood for minor premier and to win the whole damned thing. Sadly.

I reckon Jobe Watson is a big show for the brownlow, he has been very good this year. For a smoky, I'll show my bias and go for Scott Selwood - he could (if the umps were being nice to him) have polled in about 6 or so games already, with most of those being a fair show for the 3 votes. Unlikely to win, but I reckon he'll be up there.

Franklin will win the coleman. GWS will take the spoon.

Good to Sydney get the win against Geelong last night. Not sure on the draw but things are looking good.

I think he will at the very least be the leading eagle....

What are your thoughts on Priddis for brownlow? Got him & 100-1 earlier in the year - was top 10 last year, is a ball magnet & the weagles should win 14+ games?

I'd be surprised if he did. He's missed a couple of games, and I don't think he's had a clear cut BOG yet. That said, he's been good in most games, is a proven vote winner, and is always under the umpires nose, so who knows.

As an eagles supporter like mllama I would say no chance for priddis unless he has an amazing second half of the season. He's prob only on about 6 votes so far.
