Now that I'm leaving BBBL (for the moment) it's time to say something for the defence of the 'Dragons' (do we indeed deserve the title 'Dragons' ?)
I've been looking to all the games this season. (the only one we gave up was when we couldn't win anymore....and you don't have to be blind ...and try to save some money (yes Joe ....the financial income is a real problem)

What was realy wrong this season: A bad calendar. Bad luck and one enormous stupid mistake (crunch with a c team)
I think we have won the games we could have won.
(Only KV forever played it more clever ....they were the lucky guys this season)
Joe, before you say we didn't want to play you must see everything that hapened.
Calender, TV game, los of income, HCA ....crunch ,easy, normal....injuries
Also the program of our opponents. Did they have had any presents...easy games ?
The Dragons didn't.
Joe....You are the number one in BBBL .....for years. You are the one I look up to. I want my team to be as good as yours....but for the moment it's better for me in the II. division. I will be back soon because I realy want to win...believe it or not. The ambition is there.

Good luck to you all and see you soon !

concerning calender, i had a rough one too. made a couple of stupid calls. cost me my spot in the BBBL.

Not to worry, i'll be back some day. Just not sure when yet ;) might take a drop to III. if my hunch about merchandise is right, then it would be wise to get a new draftee that i'd train myself. still going to III would require me to sell off MANY players, including De Cloedt, Bari, Baudoux, Corman and probably Otto too. I doubt i could get any decent value for them and whats more, they are Belgiums, good for Merchandise... We don't have many good Belgiums, so i probably wouldn't be able to replace em.

Still i got some choices to make. could go many way's. altho, my plans don't include an immediat return to the BBBL.going to train a bitt, get my youth sorted out, and move on from there back up (or maybe a bitt more down first).

time will tell ;)

First game against Cowboys.... outside...I thought there was more chance against Stonestars with HCA.
My focus was there...; my team played well ....but it was not enough !
(consider this one as respect for the cowboys)

Second game: Amenra .....that was a mistake. We over estimated that team that moment. We were pretty sure Amenra was going for the competition and not for the tournament. (HCA at the end .....)
Third game: KV Forever: Another story ...I wanted to be good the next games. (it was a TV game....so I expected a crunch from KV...(they did it before)
( mumu boys and Vilvoorde) and we were strong (but not strong enough)

What about the games against Phoenix and Royal Canin... I tried to win there....
It just wasn't good enough. We have learned one thing: "Take advantage when another team is weak because of having injuries."
I don't complain because we are going to division II.
But the opinion we never tried is not correct.
The money was never in BBBL for Obira ******* Maybe you are blinded with your income.

Joe.....The Dragons will return....

First of all, a big thanks to Providence for 3 amazing finals games (and also for beating mric :p ). Even my wife was confused when I was shouting, cursing and cheering at my laptop screen while having a couple of beers. But this is exactly why BB is a great game... far more intense compared to boring Hattrick :)
Providence mailed me after the game to congratulate me! great sportsmanship, see you soon amigo, hopefully in BBBL!

Now I need to figure out how to make my team competitive and make the best of my stay in BBBL, guess I will have a very very hard time. Hope to learn a lot from you all and who knows... Any advice would be most welcome.

see you all on the basketball court!

First advice I can give you is : upgrade your stadium :p

I see you're doing it right now, don't hesitate to go for another round. You should also reconsider your ticket prices, a BBBL stadium is easily filled up :)

The smallest stadium in BBBL is currently BC Tienen's : 16470 / 2500 / 500 / 30.

Just to give you an idea.

About the rest, perhaps you have money enough to buy yourself a monstruous squad and then problem is solved. Or you try to tank and survive, and to do so you must carefully pick up the games you can win. This isn't an easy thing to do. And then win them. This is even worse :)

Battle is tense in BBBL. I finished 4th and entered play-offs but before the very last game I could also have finished 7th and be relegated. Wins are expensive and precious !
