and Just to give you a little more info.
i have got NT centre Dieng from Ghana on my team.
When he plays, he gives me about an increase of 5k per week on my normal merchandise ( his Nt coach didn't do any friendlies, i suddenly had 5k less per week in my merchandise, that is how i noticed). Dieng isn't on a very strong NT, and that is why the bonus is so small for having him.
Now keeping that in mind. When the competitive Nt games were over, i usually selected 20y old players that could make it into the U21 the season after right?
the reason for it? To let them play, thus, get them a little extra experience, but most of all, to reward their managers for their efforts of training their players. The better the players are trained, the better the NT will be down the road, the better the results will be, and the more merchandise the NT players will provide to their teams in the futur.
By taking the 20y olds after the competitive season, i tried to reward them for their training efforts. It's a way to reward managers.
This season, the NT has had a very long season, so i didn't have the chance to reward them. Some have asked me why i always looked for weaker NT or U21 teams to scrimmage against when competitive season was over. Well, it's to let the young guy's, who are on the NT at that point, play.
It means that the players who were on the NT that season, won't be getting an extra reward, but in the end, you want better player, to have better results with your Nt down the road. If the Nt is eliminted in an earlier stage, then you have to hope that the guy's comming from the U21 will be stronger so that you can get better results with the Nt afterwards.
Upcoming game against Suomi, you might have noticed that i only took belgian players.
One of the reasons is because i want to preform a test, for which i needed players, such as De Ceulaer, because i've been wondering about something this season, and wanted to test it.
But players such as Francaart, De Baere, Waelput, De Neef, etc, have all been trained this season, and all were in consideration for the NT. They didn't make it, and so, with this last game, i want to try and reward their managers for their great efforts. Some of those players (i'm not going to say which at this point, but their own managers know which ones i'm talking about) were very close to make the NT in season 15, and will most likely make the NT selection in season 16.
So during the upcomming game against Suomi, i will be preforming a test and the guy's comming of the bench will be rewarded, for their efforts this season.
I know i can't reward everyone, but some have made great efforts ( such as Waelput) and thus, he will be playing in the game aganist suomi ( i won't say if it's a starter or not) as a reward for his efforts. I can only reward a certain ammount of people. So i'll always try to reward the ones who did the best job.
My goal with the Nt, is to have competitive games as long as possible, to improve belgians world ranking, and thus, get a better draw when the next european championship comes allong, hoping to go to the world championship ( in the event that i wouldn't get re-elected, i'd still be rooting for the belgian NT to get as far as possible and make it to the World championships somewhere in the futur). However, once the competitive games are over, i will try to reward those who are training their players hard for the futur of the NT.
it's all very well to think about the present, but, in my oppinion, the futur players need to be encouraged aswell.
The bottom line is. if you train really hard, you'll get a good player, who can start games. For those who keep putting in an effort to train belgian players, they'll get an extra reward, by playing in the NT (or U21) at some stage.
