its interesting to note as well that the G Vips, Corio and Ho Addicts all made significant lineup changes this year - mainly replacing older guys but still quite significant changes.

Shhhh...

Could be the game of the season but having only 4 non scrubs & 1 injured it could be a tough one for the Hippopotomuses. :(

Avalon Jets take down the top placed Northcote Slammers and Hadders takes down Geelong Vipers.

Need I say more?

what he is trying to say is that he thinks Corio and Hadders are making a move to promote to ABBL.

I dont totally disagree - but I wouldnt word it like that. Rather that I believe they are simply better positioned this season through luck and circumstance and general lack of other teams ready to make a move. Im sure they have a vault full of gold though....

Ironically in spite of his recent purchases, Sid has only lost about $3m in the past 2 months, which, given the fact he demoted with the self-proclaimed $10m, leaves him with a still healthy $7m bank balance or thereabouts.

Sell his 3 HoF trainee's towards end of season, pocket $1m-$2m, leaves him with plenty of cashola to make a move.

IMO i dont think Hadders has it in him financially, Corio just pocketed a nice $1m profit from his start of season cleanout and rebuy, AND he probably has the best lineup in the league, so thats some damn fine Buzzerbeatering right there.
But i dont know his bank balance, so its hard to compare to Sid, whom, assuming his $10m number is correct, i believe is still financially best placed to buy up and promote. Team wise? he would have to get rid of his trainee's and buy other players so thats probably going against him.

So in spite of the smoke he keeps offering, unless u see his trainee's on the transfer market, he aint goin anywhere. Corio for me.

Aim was to promote to the abbl with 10 mill in bank. Upto date i dont ever recall having 10mill in the bank. 2 teams i was referring to were hadders and Avalon Jets.

I would personally hope that my 3 trainees are worth more than 1-2 mill as i spent about 4.5 mill buying them.

These trainees will not be sold in any short sighted push to the ABBL, as the intentions are for them to become the nucleous of my team and also Aussie representative players

Your maths is not so good as i have 6 mill less in bank than what i did a couple of months ago.

Basis of my beliefs is not so much about players, as both teams have the money to buy players and the experience and know how to dominate if they wish, But more about attitude and intent which i have seen in both teams.

That said its a huge luxery to be playing a beast of a PF in the SF position

Hadders is a lot better off financially than you think as he has a history of low cost rosters.

No disrespect to either youself or geelong vipers but at present i dont consider yourselves as likely to threaten as i do the top 3 current teams in our conference.

well ive got your trading balance as of November 11, (your previous trade being June) at minus $2.8m - correction - i didnt take into account that you only get max 97% profit from sales and the transfer window does not reflect this - but still, maybe minus $3m.

Thats my maths - not sure how you have lost another 3m on top of that in 2 months.

Arena - nope although maybe the odd downturn in attendance due to away losses. thats only bout $50k in a week though.
Merchandise - again, maybe only $10k per week due to roster changes.
Roster should be ok, probably running even most times.
Staff? - Have you paid $3m in staff over the last 2 months? Maybe? new trainee/PR manager and Doc.
Offset that with $50k from the cup per week that ur getting, and im curious.

Do let us know how youve lost $6m in the past 2 months.

Ive ben frantically searching for the forum post from last season where someone (or yourself) said you had $10m in the bank when you demoted. Unfortunately the only thing i can find is a post that I made about it! haha. So I think that the $10m number is actually a rumour i started last season haha! classic.

PS: Who are Avalon Jets?

Haha no disrespect taken, I don't consider myself as a realistic chance to threaten for the title either :p
