I quietly predicted this finals series weeks ago :)
Some interesting individual match ups to look out for:

Tully Braithwaite vs Steve Pierce: The battle between former and future NT guards, these two players have been heavily criticised by Sid Vicious.

Claus Querido vs Lucas Frost: A young NT bigman vs the disgruntled veteran who never got a shot at representing his country. They both spent the previous season in the ABBL.

Ollie Atherton vs Byron Barrett: Former teammates on the New Century Goats, were shipped out of town on the same night. Atherton developed into an U21 star while Barrett is still bitter over being unjustly snubbed from the S25 team.

And rightly so as they are both clowns :o

With regards to the finals series it will be an engrossing battle between the Veteran Pancakes and the new gun Albatrosses

Be interesting to see who gets the chocolates (g) and who ends up with the broken heart (U)

***GAME SPOILER*** for the final

Wow...Pancakes at home and put more effort in and only beat the Albatrosses by 15...mmm...I think the Pancakes are going to struggle to win this series despite winning the opening game. Will all come down to amount of enth put into Game 2 by both teams I think...

Do the Pancakes PON and save for Game 3? But what if the Albatrosses PON too...and likely win? Their enth will surely then be enough to get the Pancakes at home? Or if the Pancakes POCT and go for the win hoping that the Albatrosses go overconfident and PON? I'm looking forward to this season finale...

Either way, Game 3 is going to be a ripper! Good luck to you both.

Hi everyone

just a heads up that im doing some statistical analysis of draft picks for this coming draft.

I need to be able to gather the full player stats of as many of your draft picks as possible. EVEN if they are absolute scrubs, its important that i get a variety of data for my analysis.

As most people fire their picks, this makes getting the data difficult, so - the easiest way for this to happen is instead of firing ur guys straight away - list them on the transfer market for $1

That way, ill spend the 3 days post-draft gathering the data myself. Thats right - im doing the dirty work! haha.

If you are wanting to keep ur draft pick you could PM me his stats - if your reluctant to share, thats ok as well.

Obviously the more data i have, the better this works out for analysis, so please - do not fire ur scrubs . list them, then when they don't sell, you can fire to ur hearts content.

Thanks

Looking at his per game stats across the board this season, it's no surprise that Claus Querido would dominate the MVP voting. Querido, who was called up to the Senior NT roster recently (yet to play a competitive game but that won't be way away), was putting up video game numbers in this league this season, and Downtown's Milan Leto was literally the only player in the league that came close to matching this sort of dominant performance at the PF/C position.

Notice how Querido made 13-35 (37.1%) three-pointers from the PF position; looking at the off-site forums, he's got pretty good Jump Range for a PF, and taking into account what I usually call the 'Radford effect', that makes weaker shooters (ie; PF's and C's) shoot a lot better from three when guarded by bad perimeter defenders, 13-35 seems about right for a guy like him. If he was playing mostly C though he might've cracked 50% like Radford once did in the ABBL :P.

Interesting to note that Tully B wasn't in the list of MVP vote getters?
