lol interesting idea haha.
And seeing as I am the conference leading team I like the idea :P
On a more serious note though, I think it would be very hard to pick a side because you have no idea about the skills of other players, also there would be some managers that would just pick their own entire side for the All Star game. I don't think the all star game should result in HCA during the finals (if that is what you are talking about) because that would be highly unfair.

Yeah just throwing something out there as i said it would be impossible because u don't know the skills of other players. HCA during the playoffs can be a bit unfair anyway if one conference is weaker the other it will be easier to get a better win-loss record.

hmm true, well hopefully the BBs think of a good way to make the all star game fun to watch and be involved in.

i actually think you may be onto something here

remember in the nba the fans choose the starters and the coaches choose the bench

we could do the same thing with the starters being decided the same way as always

however the bench could be voted on by the coaches

maybe you cant vote for your own players

maybe you can only vote for your own conference

wouldnt that stimulate some discussion and maybe lobbying in the forums to get players voted in

especially if there was some incentive - i always thought you should get some small merchandising boost for each all star - it should be small so not game changing but still something so maybe 20k per starter and 10k per reserve or 3pter

and yet in the NBA it seems to work fine

are you saying everyone here is silly and immature? <- rhetorical question

And thats the reason why an injury prone, way past his prime, former allstar player like T-Mac almost became a starter for this years all star game

You can never trust fans at voting. Too many players will get voted on based on past performances and a having a high fan base rather than they have good skills

what if the first place coach was given a list of players from which to choose? or, he was given the starters and he got to select the bench. in both cases, the game would provide a default squad, and the first place coach could tinker with it.

I also wouldn't mind if the division which won the All Star game got Home Court Advantage in the finals. There's no denying it would add interest to the game.

Take a moment to think about how ridiculous an idea that is.

Should we also give those less fortunate than others big injections of cash?
