Sounds like a good idea. 'grooming' the next Scottish NT could be a vaulble use of time although i have to say, having previoulsy been NT coach of Scotland, there really isnt that much to it! ;-) Espcially with that scouting tool, it's all about evaluating what your best players are, where they play best, and what the appropriate tactics/starting 5 is for any given game.

Oh, and being Scotland, it's also important to know what games to 'go for' and which ones it's best to take a beating.

good luck to you!

Oops, I accidentally deleted my last post but never mind! Like I said I was still making daft mistakes as recently as the playoff finals!

Right, ok, thanks for the "glooming" <--- This word really sound dodgy given the country's obsession of .... well, you know what.

Yea, I'm happy to do some scouting of opposition and give suggestions of tactics, etc. And what's this scouting program I've never heard of??? Also I think we should get Abbey involved as well coz he seems very motivated, maybe he'll do a better job than me.
I'd actually like to start as U21 coach, so that even if I screw up it won't matter too much but since Taintum's already working on the U21 team I'll just bid my time.

PS. Let's unit and vote for Bock for another 2 years, before someone do a (p)RickJames again.
PPS. I'll be trying to overtake Bock's team world ranking.

"glooming"

I like how you changed it to make it less dodgy ;-)

Scouting program, http://www.buzzerbeaterstats.com/ntscout.php Means you dont need any scouters for the top players but it helps when others keep you up to date on scottish players who's teams are about to go bot.

You might be able to work something out with Taintum if he's interested in making the step up to NT manager next election.

Thanks.

One word concerning scouting:

At the moment I have a excel-file with about 40 scotish players. Some new players will come into the team (the 22-year-guys from Taintum U21)... and than we'll have the team.

As I said allready real often... it's important, that YOU/ WE train scotish guys, even if they are allready 22y. For example Barron was our best PG in the last two seasons. He has got potential (MVP!) and got no (!!!) training, exactly 0 skill-ups. As he was 22y, he really had the chance to become a great PG, now he's not bad, but not "great" for our NT.

As I was already saying last season, I'd really love to train some scottish talents, but right now I'm still lacking the resources to buy a good/ promising talent. Maybe I'll get there in the next few seasons, we'll see. It's always good that you're posting potential scottish players, Bock :-) If you need some help besides that with the NT, just tell me :-)

After a quick look at the current TL, there's only one player that i can see having decent potential to become a top NT player.

(15076940)

Although he's still not perfect due his unfortunately low JS/HD/PS, he could be an affordable trainee for someone training big-men.

I'd try to get a hold of him but I'm training SF, so he would probably get more guard-Training this season and therefore it's probably a waste, what do you think?

If i was you I wouldn't. But if you were feeling pretty selfless outside training could really improve him, but he'd need a lot (probably 1 postioin) for it to be worth the effort. You'd be looking at at least 4 pops in JS, 2 in HD, 1 in PS, and you may as well get the 1 in DV and OD. This is really the minimum oustide skills he'll need to become a top player. After that, he'd need 1 position Inside training to at least the wonderous levels which would take 3 seasons +.

I'm 100% scottish but i wouldnt be that selfless - although he could make you a LOT of money if you did train him this way. I'd wait for a more appropriate trainee for your team.
