But the players didn't play complete 48 minutes and still they managed to get pops.So is the impact of a higher level trainer?
To get full training effect (which depends on things like training type, player's age and height, etc.) your player needs 48 minutes or more (denoted by 48+) on a training position. Anything less will result in a player receiving partial training or no training at all (if no minutes on a training position). So, your guy gets some minutes on a training position, he gets some training. This can result in skill pops or not, which only depends on how close to popping the player was before training. Getting full minutes does not guarantee you pops, because the pops only show when a full level has been gained. The exception to the minute-rule is team training (free throws etc.). Trainer level will affect the effectiveness of training. With a higher level trainer, you will get more effective training. All the other stuff (you need 48+ minutes for full effect) and pops only showing when a full level of skill is gained remain the same.
So, perhaps you wouldn't have received some of the pops with a lower level trainer. Perhaps you would have received them all. We don't really know. All we know is that you received a bit better training effect because you have a good trainer. Your training result would have been better, had you given your guys 48+ minutes. That wouldn't necessarily have resulted in more pops, but the effect would still have been better.
