sure u have an advantage if your are online, but u have always an advantage if your online more often.
my suggestion would be that u can set different tactics per half. so if somebody knows that he wont be online during the game, he is able to set the second half tactic before the game. so the one who is online does not know if his oppenent is playing the same tactic next half.

the point is that this would ruin many users classes and work days... cause you couldn`t concentrate on you work or school if you would know that your opponent now changing the tactics, cause you wanna do the same... Now advantage is only in buying players no other... But this would ruin your work/school day every week, week by week.
