hey mate,

Congrats on promoting! The difference is astronomical, but you seem to have some good players on your side, OLD, but good.. You should win some games.

Looking long team though, you definitely need to invest in some trainees, as training is the most important part of the game.. Also if you want to compete in this league, your stadium needs some investment, more seats = more money..

You definitely wont lack competitiveness here that is for sure :D if you have any questions, feel free to ask, we are here to help out :D

Enjoy your first season in the minors :D

hey therug

good to have you around.

as skyhook said you have some extremely old players. have you been training up anyone?

competitive is what we love here in our division. good news for you is you are on the red side... in other words the easier side. however the bad news is that you will have to finish at lowest sixth or you are in serious danger. i certainly dont think you would want to finish 7th because there are gonna be 6 very hard teams to beat on the blue side.

ill give ya a little help by highlighting some of the things to be noted about the teams in this league

favourites (strongest)

Beasts Red - will devastate
ACT Blaze - definitely up there
Wagadagugu Hippoppotomasus - dont really know but i suspect will still menace teams like my own

cheap but nasty (cheap rosters but do the damage)

skyhook dreamers - dunno, not even sure he knows
Mad rangas - may become more expensive this season... thus harder to beat

stagnant

be high - not done a thing in 2 seasons, my tip for second.

now myself - gisborne gladiators (formerly 'bainsynators plebs') - undecided myself after two 4th places and not exactly rich. may make another run at 4th for shits and giggles, if not higher. just simply dont like 1st having an easy run.

the rest

CRE Towers - or as we say CT Towers... never discount the CrunchTime from the master of it. depends on developing teams, i expect 4th or 5th

Orange Spartans - not quite sure. most likely looking for 6th 5th or maybe scraping in for 4th.

Sammydog - got me a little confused. seems to be making solid headway then sells a player (for 1.5mil mind you) 4th or 3rd i reckon

Zeds Army - stop Pabich from scoring and Gallot from passing it to him and you have a 'W'. accustomed to throw a CT in from time to time, so beware.

My back court is solid and improving, but front court is troublesome :D

Glad to be welcomed here mate. its nice for a change having people that like to have a chat and so on.

honestly, i hardly ever trained and pretty much for most of the season did training for game shape.

i just figured that was important i guess. im kind of an impatient type of person for this game, which probably explains why i got some old timers in the time so that i dont have to train.

im looking at being competitive and have my sets on the top 4

yeah im aiming high, but why aim low?

appreciate what you said above bout the other teams, that will help.

what is a good arena size for Div 3?

min 10k.. Buy a couple of 18 yr/o's in the next couple of weeks for a 100k each to get on the training wagon, it is the only way to give yourself an edge if you need some coin in hurry and to build your team around. Your team will not last forever, so help that natural progression by training.

ACT up their bains? I will be pushing for another conference 1st this season mate, not going to go away that easy :)

well i reckon 9k is adequate. however if you want to make money while you try win 12+ if you can sell it out.

there is no reason why you can't finish top 4... however if you are serious about progressing in this game, you either draft some superstars and sell them for big $$$ or you get some trainees and train them up and sell them for your team or for money.

totally up to you which way you go... i would just keep in mind that there is a fair chance you will spend 4+ seasons in here. up to you to decide what you want to do in those seasons

hope we see you in chat during the season, we usually get 2 or 3 guys in there most games

haha well you are under the favourites category. if you dont finish 1st in red you are doing something wrong

just thinking that if neeber for some reason decides to sell his draftee for squillions then he is a sure thing for promotion.

welcome to season 17 all.
congratulations to the promoters and its interesting that we didn't get a div2 drop out.
Blaze and Beasts are the usual suspects for promotion, however that didn't exactly goto plan last season did it hahah.

Welcome to the league Morning Glory, good to see another new name on the forums, and hopefully as bains said, on chat.

Yeah my salaries have increased a lot.
Gab Wall tripled in price as was my guesstimate. he's only 20 but he's already my most expensive player.
Doubt i'll be doing anything too differnt this season.
training gab is nr 1 priority. and i might try to get another trainee to go with him.

well best of luck everyone.
