We are talking about one of the best players drafted in Canadian history due to how few ATG potential players there are. No one wants to see him go to waste.

I don't think that's true, but even if it was, I think people to need to chill out a bit.

Anyways, I would like to chime in here :)

1. Tourament Schedule: Honestly I think this seemingly random schedule generator is the best setup for the National Tournaments, if you are including everyone in one big tournament that is. Ill get to that soon though :)
First off, with a more organized seeding way(NCAA Tournament) you would find the top teams having absolute cakewalks really deep into tournaments and yes that is more realistic, but is that really why we play this game...?
Secondly during a season teams ranknings change drastically, do we adapt a style where the seedings are dynamic and change every day just like our National ranks? Or do we keep it simple and have the rankings that we start off with at the beginnning of the season stick the whole way through? I mean teams tank and go bot throughout a season, how would that effect a tournament like this? Secret Agents were ranked first at the beginning of the season and even with their reduced roster they would ride the easy schedule of bot after bot many many rounds into the tournament. Is that really good for the tournament?
If we did a style where everyone was scheduled with games where they played against people ranked near them then bot tams would ride deep deep into the tournament with constant bot vs bot matchups. Naismith teams would be reduced to a couple of teams 4 rounds in. Thats not good is it?

Something I would not mind seeing is having multiple tournaments depending on the size of the country. For instance in Canada. we could have the top 128 in a tournament and the next 256 in a different tournament. This would make it more probable that the cup(s) would be competitive the whole way through and there would not be any #1 ranked teams against div IV or bot teams. One problem Im sure ill get from this is what would be the point of winning the secondary tournament? That is fair and the best I can come up with is maybe an automatic tiebreaker for bot cleanup promoting for the team. Like if they win the tournament and then finish 5th or higher in their league, but then do not win the league, they will automatically be the first team chosen to promote, plus there would be the pride in it! I would like to see this implemented, but I doubt it will which leaves me with...

Random Schedule Generator! It may produce some early naismith vs naismith teams. It could allow some bot teams to go reasonably far. It generates games where division III teams hoping to make noise hit a naismith team in the fourth round, but in the end it is the best. It provides some more entertainment and unpredictability that is great for the tournament. Sure division III teams face top tier teams, but thats when magical moments like (38947038) happen. :) I like this set up and I doubt we will see anything different in the near or far future so, get used to it :)

2. Maybe people are going a little overboard on Future NBA Hall of famer(why isn't famer capitalized? whatever :P), but Canadas NT really needs a monster big man to help push us over the top, this is our first legitimate shot at that, we do not want to see that go to waste! :)

Somebody suggested it earlier about some using the system used in tennis i think..... so i would say maybe up until u have 128 or 256 teams left its random n once u reach that point its based on ranking..... i think this could possibly work

Jenny, your roster is a prototype on how you play D4 in Canada. Low salaries, good gamehape and save your money. Great job girl. But raise all your ticket prices before Tuesday, you're 6-0 so the fans will pay far more for all 4 levels. And build that arena more, you'll need it for D3.

I agree that I like it how it is. I like the idea of not being able to plan your entire season's strategy right at the outset. I also like the idea of giving div3 and div4 more potential to make deep runs into the tournament, I was able to make a deep run as a Div3 team largely based on a lucky draw, and that was one of the more exciting moments I've had in this game. I believe last year, people also stated they enjoyed watching div3 and div4 teams go deep. Naismith teams have it good enough, don't worry about being fair to us.
That said, even if they do set up seeding, I think upsets are always going to happen. This week I felt I had 2 must-win games in the league, and lost not being able to put up a good enough team out there for the tournament. Would I have liked to have faced a bot this week? Sure. But this was also a good challenge that I learned from.

Yea I agree with you on that, but I don't think being hard on him will help this situation. Let's just hope he listens.
