err.. i mean.. he has done great job! We are building :D Thx to his help, i have a couple of decent trainees, and will make about 1.5m profit this seaosn :D not a bad season at all.... (just didnt win any games lol)

good to see.. i tried mentoring a guy from another league 4, but found i was more keen than he was... by mentoring, i mean just forwarding all the PM's yoda has sent me :D

With that cheapass roster, a dedication to training and a $1.5 million profit for the season being safely in 5th and one game out of the playoffs is nothing short of brilliant! Great work, I wish my trainees were doing as well as yours.

This season has gone much better than expected.and i know that when i do decide to splash out and get some good players, you will point me in the right direction for sure :D

I'm feeling lucky...Iwen?

Actually, lucky is far from the truth. Just had a car (driven by an 80 yr old blind man) ram my $40k Toyota Prado! Not happy jan! Anyway, maybe i'll get a ball sympathy vote...lol

And yeah, Skyhookz, by mentoring I also meant forwarding on Yoda's advice! But your right, if the mentoree isn't as keen as the mentor then it doesn't work.

Actually I've never done full time mentoring.

I've always been happy to have my say and leave bits n pieces of advice, but most of the time it's just a gentle push in the right direction.

Though I am crazy about training though, so much so that I will rant if somebody wants to buy success.. over training for success.

training to me is 1 of the main things that keeps me coming back for more :D

nothing like seeing a player grow better and better week in and week out... (then sell him for profit...) :P

i think if i were to stop trading, i would probably lose all interest and disappear

Haha...you suck!
As for the Prado, probably somewhere in the vicinity of $500 to $1000 taking in account the rediculous repair costs. Not major but really annoying.
as for the "bilbagoon", my son likes his lego and I've never heard of it!

@ Iwen, your advice on training is always short and sweet and to the point! lol Training for me IS the joy of BB.
Unlike you, Skyhookz, I won't train up Aussie talent to then sell for a profit. If you're referring to non-Aussie talent then I agree...although my second trainee, Marcelo "Hot Rod" Rodriguez (Argentinian) would definately make me some great cash in a few seasons...but I just won't sell him...I think...

hmm.. i have only sold 1 aussie trainee... (19609510) he is rubbish tho.. his only claim to fame is he will prolly be starting C for the U21 next season...... err..

selling him was the hardest, yet best thing i have done as it allowed me to train Chan to the levels he needed to be.. and i like training guards more for some reason.. lol

just wish i got more $$ for him :(

I can't really talk. Sold an 18 yr old Aussie a couple of seasons ago (think he was Superstar?). His name was McManus and I got almost $900k for him. He was then sold weeks later for a million +. Rob and that still give me shit about selling him but I checked on him recently and he hasn't been trained and is worth nothing. That made me feel better.
I love training guards too...although...I haven't got it to compare to anything as...I...err haven't trained anything else. Anyway, really like training guards!

My current Aussie trainee No.1 (Johnny Dogan MVP) is going to be a household name within the Aussie community in a few seasons.
My No.2 trainee (Marcelo Rodriguez PA) is also going to be an excellent player. Although he's still better than Dogan at present, Hot Rod will cap way before Dogan.
I'd rather not talk about my No. 3 trainee. Let's just say I'm experimenting and leave it at that.
