What about being able to afford him with only $50 in gate receipts? He has to be way in debt this season.
He's probably built up a decent amount of money in the past, plus there's probably a nice bump in merchandising from having a player as long as he's had him be the clear star of the team. Plus the TV contract will also put a dent into that weekly hole.
