England blow out Georgia at home to remain unbeaten on home soil England 99 Georgia 74 (England 4-2)

Going into the 6th game of the season, England were sitting on a 3-2 record just leaving them outside of the KO seedings on PD. Beating Georgia at home was a big priority for Zeus considering the remaining games. England went into this game with a 2-0 record at home and weren't going to roll over here to seemingly better competition. Ellis and company felt their best chance were was to play motion and they lit it up from outside the key. After the first Quarter ending 19-18 in favour of Georgia but following, England won all the remaining quarters and shot incredibly. 8 players got on the board from down town and England just looked unstoppable at some points. Going into the 4th England had a 13pt lead and they continued their impressive run of form in 4th periods which clawed the game back vs the Netherlands two weeks prior. A brisk 16-2 run to start the 4th sealed a very impressive win, as the subs entered to finish the game chants of 'We want 30' echoed around the arena but back to back 3s for Georgia foiled the chances for a 30pt win.

Very good win for us today as we should move into the KO seeding for now. We look to remain unbeaten next week vs a high ranked Indonesia side but hopefully we can pull it out. Onto next week.

Zeus.

The Singapore win with the game prediction and less effort really set the season off, personally I think it was a stroke of genius. Keep going Zeus mate.

England topple Indonesia to go 4-0 at home England 94 Indonesia 77 (England 5-2)

England remained at home for a back to back where they faced Indonesia for the final home stand of the round robin. Needing the win before flying half way round the world to New Zealand for the final game. Both teams went with a normal enthusiasm and England managed to pull away in the forth. Behind another top draw performance from stand out player Jeffrey Ellis England move to 5-2. With only a 7 point lead at half time, Vecx looked on from his weekly court side seats. Going into the 4th England still lead by 7, Ellis decided to go on an 8-0 run to start the 4th and once again England didn't look back with a strong 4th quarter performance. This win brings England to 5-2 with one game remaining.

Sorry for the late post real life took over the past few days. I'm hoping we can qualify for the KOs but with our inferior PD its going to be close if we don't get the win in New Zealand.

Thanks guys for the votes of confidence and we still have a lot of work to do!

Zeus.

Not at all convinced that crunching makes sense just in order to qualify. But everyone makes their own choices. I'd say Zeus has done the right thing here in just normalling, we needed enthusiasm in the next round. Obviously New Zealand's ambition was just to qualify, and that's what they've done.

I prefer to be a bit more ambitious and so it seems does Zeus. Well done for a great season, it was a really difficult draw, and two crucial defeats came against teams willing to ignore the long term.
