You really think Fukuoka's booming red and blue light districts are populated by all volunteer workers??????

I have no idea, and will have to take your word on it!!! Hell... I don't even know what a blue light district is!

Here's something retro:
My child (he's 9) can walk to school each day. My wife can go out in the evening, and walk home.
I love that.

That's more or less like in the country I come from. That would be the norm to live somewhere. However, Japan is quite safe, but like everywhere I wouldn't trust the government stats too much.

With retro I ment things like their love for fax or paper or workflows without any option to work individually. Or the way children and students were taught, all by the book with only the result in focus. They are modelled and formed to be the robots they need in the companies. I think Japanese are nice people but have no sense for certain things, let's say in traffic, for environment or even while communicate with somebody. That's the result of the outdated education system. I had issues with my health here, so I had to visit some clinics and doctors. No english spoken almost everywhere. I know, I'm in Japan, I should only talk in Japanese. But hey, English is like the common language worldwide. And it's not my motherlanguage as well. I don't expect it from a cashier or freeter. But doctors, just to prevent misunderstandings, hey... All that stuff... RETRO.

Japan is what it is, has a lot to offer and a lot to take. It's another planet, in a positive and negative way. Cheers
