Except for the reason that it makes the cup not reach into the playoffs in the largest nations.
That was the meaning of having two cup games in a single week from the beginning.

Is this still needed?

Allowing to have an extra scrimmage that week should make everybody happy.

Havent thought about this earlier but now reading these posts..

As the cup have two games in all star week (and one normal league game), teams that are still in the cup get 3 games. Rest of the teams gets one league game and one scrimmage, so total of 2 games.

So the question is, do teams that are still in the cup, get the normal training from all the 3 games? I cant see any other way but just want make sure...
And if / when so, how is this possible. This puts teams in unequal situation.

A 2nd scrimmage would fix the issues with training but there is the wild card of injury. What I think should be done is to lower the minute minimum to 36 and raise the maximum to say 110 minutes so that gs can be a bit more constant.

the day 110 minutes would be acceptable for GS will be the day division II and below teams won't make any deep runs in the Cup anymore, since division I teams won't need to bother thinking about sacrificing some of their league matches (for minute management reasons) in order to reach the Cup's final rounds.
