Probably not many, but as NT manager I used to get bb-mails from managers about their players, how they stack up against others, etc. So I simply replied that I am going to be posting the rankings on the forums.
BB-mail was used as a way to get people to the forums, and once they are there, and the activity rises because of it, it is kind of self-sustaining thing as it slowly drags more people in.

That's the issue imho with being Canada NT. We need somebody who will do much more than would normally be expected from the NT manager. THat's why I am not a candidate - don't have time for it all, but happy to help whoever is elected.
So for all candidates: if you aren't willing to go quite far and beyond what needs to be done in 'standard' NT job - please select a different country. I think youtube might be a bit of an overkill, unless you are an algorithmic wizard able to bring people from outside of the game, but that's the sort of enthusiasm and commitment we need overall.

I don't need YT to bring in anyone. I just like it as a more personal way to engage with the community. It's more enjoyable for users and weirdly less time intensive for me than bbmail spam.

There is this crux though. One I keep going back to.

Candidates all think they can do the best job. Good, fine. But once they hold the belt, they often try to prove to themselves they can, and sure they will get help from locals, who have helped others before. And sure, they may have an assistant even, who helps where and there.

But what I want to implement would be closer to a triumvirate.

3 managers all checking their egos at the door and working together. No, the work won't be exactly equal. That's impossible, but the right team can make it work, and by doing that, they can go far and beyond what one coach could.

And with 3, there's is never a split vote, on anything.

I already know what your thinking, "this won't work, there will be drama". But I am not interested in defeatists mindsets. Not in 2025. BB is where we all go to escape. I bring immaculate vibes with me when I enter, and you should too.

So I want every other candidate to know, I am willing to help you with whatever you need if you win. No job is too monotonous. I don't need my name on a page to know I put in work. The work is the reward.

The biggest trouble with that is that a big chunk of the work, scouting, can only be done by the coach. I've done that several times, scouting all canadian players available (and I mean all!). I takes a good week, but I still have spreadsheets from way back.
After the scouting bit, yes a trio of managers will definitely work, discussing game strategies, coming up with training plans and following up with managers... It helps having more than one set of eyes and different game experiences or ways of thinking. But that's not the most time-consuming part of the job. I don't think Canada ever had a "formal" coach team for either NT with clearly assigned roles, but I've been pretty involved in strategies and training discussions with the past 2 U21 coaches, so this teaming up naturally happens even though it's not visible or official

Yeah, the choice will be tricky, but with current manager dropping the ball, I am excited to see what someone else can do!

Among the candidates, who would be willing to be part of the team, even if elections don't go your way?

I know its difficult to keep 3 players with 200K salary but 2 is fairly easy with D1 income and its beneficial to the manager but its just take times. But my point is we actually dont need new managers to come in. Just few committed managers who are willing to train the NT players with right training method can change the dynamic.

well I'm already doing that, so keep counting me in

Edit: that's 2 seasons in a row with a real election debate, that's great!

I would argue you want both new managers and more committed managers. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

It terms of a scouting workaround, you can screenshot and dump the images, then the entire staff can upload them to a database.

Like I said, I am willing to put in work, win or lose.

If I can't escape to Canada, the least I can do is help their imaginary basketball team.
