It was a gentlemanly gesture towards the ladies. I am sure you dont want to be treated like that. I'll make sure to put extra effort in our game to make it exciting lol.

Hi all,

Thanks for the posts about me. I love the tournament update and the kudos given to me for doing well for a rather pathetic roster!

I only lost by 4 points to both da fat boy slim and baxter bogans, but i was lucky to get close to both i think.

What am i aiming for this season? I didnt think i was going to get promoted. My team is old and nothing special. I was hoping to stay down in div II and train a youngster. I have a bit in the bank and will buy some bigger salaried players soon, but i know i still cant compete with the big boys.

I have only been in the ABBL once before and disastriously coached the Australia U21 team a few seasons back.

I dont really have the time to go for the title or to spend too much time on the transfer list. I have been backpacking through Europe the past 6 months and am currently living in Oslo. Very hard to be competitive. Actually its very hard to even put my team in!

I still love the game. Its my second favourite online management game behind from the pavilion. Buzzerbeater is far from perfect, but the admins keep updating it.

So i wont be tanking this season, but i wont be great! Keep up the good banter on the forums guys!

I'm one c-c-c-c-c-crazy cat though! who knows what I'll do?

With a lazy 3.something million doller acquisition Im thinking that deep down you might be aiming to avoid a relegation series battle

Hey Hadders, you were famous when I started playing so it is great to finally hear from you. Awesome that you are backpacking around Europe travel is one of my top hobbies and I have been overseas most years for the last 15 or so. For someone that is half asleep you are doing very well. I have to admit I looked at your team as one I could beat but figured it still wouldn't be enough that 6th or 7th would still probably have the same result for me as 8th as I would have to spend every cent I had and sacrifice training to achieve it. I have said it before and I am sure I am getting judged by the elite for tanking but I am the youngest team to ever make the ABBL (season 10) and don't have the resources of the older teams (massive stadium, huge season ticket holder numbers, players with brilliant secondary skills, incredible bank balance, infinite experience and intimidation factor).

I have also been in this position before. My first season (10) I won division IV, my second season I won division III and in my third season I landed in division II with a tiny arena and a pitiful roster. I also spent all my money on one superstar player who would be certain to keep me up who then spent the entire season injured or in horrible game shape. Combine that with Bryce Gibbs making it his personal mission to relegate me (smashed me both games but threw both games to my main rival Chumunga who squeezed me out of 7th and got to beat up on the very weak 6th seed in the Big 8 in the relegation series) and the season was a disaster. At the end I had no money, little training and no real progress. What a disaster! I am determined that I wont make the same mistake twice. This season I am training my three young guys (who all have good potential - superstar, superstar and MVP), making about $500,000 profit a week, expanding my arena so I will never have to do it again and probably having my best cup run ever (although we will see in a few hours how well it has gone).

I love the game. I am on every day and while not much is happening with my team at the moment I still have the Indian U21 team to run which is a massive undertaking as you know as well as helping run the Fishbowl Private League.

So good to hear from a celebrity and hopefully I will take one off you next time we meet.

In other matters this is big news.

12/8/2011 - Pancakes with Jam and Cream has just acquired Yiftach Chaim for $ 3 150 000.

Now I respect C-Cat as much as any manager in the game but this does puzzle me.

Yiftach Chaim (9446188)
Shooting Guard
Owner: Pancakes with Jam and Cream
Weekly salary: $ 63 412
Age: 27
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: superstar

Age 27 so too old to train and will need to be resold in about three seasons to retain value. Only $63,000 salary which for a SG is hardly impressive and should be obtainable for about 1/3 that price at a similar age. Obviously he will have great secondaries and I assume he is really a SF not a SG but he has only averaged 3 RPG and 2.6 APG this season and only a bit better last season this season. He has a reasonable FG% (only 42% this season but 49% last season playing in Czech division II) so maybe he is an IS fiend and that is what seduced the Cat.

Brilliant move or latenight bidding war that got out of hand?

500k a week.... that's pretty awesome. I get a bit more than 420k with my current roster. Hopefully I can make some good purchases like C-cat in a few weeks time.
