Good to Sydney get the win against Geelong last night. Not sure on the draw but things are looking good.

For a smoky, I'll show my bias and go for Scott Selwood

I think he will at the very least be the leading eagle....

What are your thoughts on Priddis for brownlow? Got him & 100-1 earlier in the year - was top 10 last year, is a ball magnet & the weagles should win 14+ games?

I'd be surprised if he did. He's missed a couple of games, and I don't think he's had a clear cut BOG yet. That said, he's been good in most games, is a proven vote winner, and is always under the umpires nose, so who knows.

As an eagles supporter like mllama I would say no chance for priddis unless he has an amazing second half of the season. He's prob only on about 6 votes so far.

Good work by the crows today!

no point having an easy draw if you dont win the easy game

Garrie Addison (18085302). The G-Adder striking blows since season 15

And yeah, I reckon we'll finish 3rd or 4th now.

Backed him on Betfair and he's into about 40-1 so hopefully with a few more good games i'll lay him off at 20's or so. I did the same with Dangerfield for a nice profit already when i back him at 95-1 and laid off at 17-1.

Just seems like one of those blokes that always gets votes so hoping it's the same this year.

Yeah, I'm surprised he was at 100-1 at the start of the season - before the season I would have rated him West Coast's best brownlow hope...

I'm very inexperienced when it comes to sports betting - could you explain more about laying a bet off?

Betfair is a betting exchange as opposed to a bookmaker so you can act as both the bookie or the punter. In the case of Dangerfield someone was offer the odds on 95-1 on him wining the brownlow. I put $10 on it so if he wins i have a $950 return.

Once he started kcik ass this year his odds came in. I offered up the odds of 17.50 to whoever wanted it as was prepared to take $50 at these odds whihc iff he wins costs me $875.

Thus if dangerfield wins i end up with $75 (my 950 winnings - the 875 i layed off)

If he losses the Browlow i get $40 ($50 i took in when taking the other persons bet - the $10 i out-laid)

Hope that makes some sort of sense
