7/2/2013 Total Cunning Linguists cash reserves: $ 3 585 243

Typical Weekly Net Income: $ 175 708

Im sure Hadders and a few others would have similar amounts of coin stashed away

3 and a half mill might buy you a Ryder or a Williams

nah ive sorted my trainee's thanks.
I've gone for the 'older cheaper' MVP tactics. see how that pans out over the long term. I picked them up for peanut's, so selling them at some stage is always on the cards.... plans arent working out quite as well as what i thought, Phil Raines is coming along nicely, i had two others but one of them is definately not progressing anywhere near what i wanted so ive been trying to off-load him...., the other... well, we shall wait and see.
and I realised that Alcide turned 30 this season, so i picked up a new PF trainee such that in 3 seasons, Alcide can move to the bench, ill probably keep him for life, he is my 'sentimental' player, him and Rex and Laurie.

of course those plans will change if other opportunities to promote/demote come about.

Alan Guest actually

I see your $3,183,700 acquisition is slowly starting to train.

Tortured watching you repeatedly bid over me to get him

You definitely had a way of messing with my mind.

? How much do you reckon he'd sell for if you started him for 1$ on the open market today?

Ryder, Williams and Palmeri collectively cost me close to 4 and a half mill to purchase and another million or two in trainers plus several million lost in attendances not being in the ABBL

Would you get a mill for Guest if you tried to sell him?

Judge him not by his salary. He is listed as a PF but has spent a lot of time at PG and C being trained and I imagine he is freakishly well balanced.

Guest spent his first 3 years playing as a centre. Its only the last season and a little that he has started to play in other positions.

Guest recently played 48 mins at SF in a private league game and only ranked 8.5.
(Which is not great as Private League games generally produce higher ratings than leagur games)

Incomparisom;

Ryder recently ranked 13 over 18 minutes in a league game (as a SF)
Williams ranked 14.5 over 17 minutes in a private league game (as a SF)
Palmeri ranked 11 over 24 minutes in a league game (as a SF)

(Williams & Palmeri are a year younger than Guest and Ryder)

I tend to doubt that Guest is that freakishly well balanced.

I reckon Shanmag thought I was going to bid over her, and got caught with him when I didnt and maybe didnt have the resources to train him properly

198cm and with monster secondaries as an 18yo, he was the best natural SF trainee that one could inagine, he could have been anything.

Miles better than Williams or Ryder as an 18yo, plus an ideal height for a SF trainee as well (unlike Ryder206cm and Williams 188cm)

At best Guest might now end up as a PF with a jumpshot

I hope Im wrong and that he turns out great

My guys will be 24 or 25 and actually playing as Forwards before they get much soft two position training like one on one or jumpshot

LOL surely you don't think you can compare Guest who played a full 48 minutes to your players who played sub minutes and think it will be an accurate comparison? I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are just trying to bait me.

I don't think you can compare Guest and Ryder since we have both taken different training plans thus far. Maybe we can compare in a few seasons time when we are finished. Until then, I'm not even going to bother trying to get in to a pissing contest with you.

So we have guest, waldron and kruatz versus ryder, williams and palmeri.
Can't wait to see them in 4-5 seasons time.

It is funny now that all the best NT players are trained by high profile managers when it used to always be randoms that trained them, just got a guy with high potential and pushed primaries to the max.
