I thought the guy with the easiest match up would take the most shot, guess not. Just check my game with Superfreakys, my opponent started a rookie as SF due to his injured starter. I used patient to exploit that position and yet my PG ended up taking over 40 shots against a same level if not better match up o.O My starting SF got fouled out with one of his worst performance and my backup shot 7-13 but only allowed 13 shots. Also a side note, for some reason my team committed 11 fouls just in the first quarter, possible repurcussion of this tactic?

SG vs PG for me
+1 JS
+4 JR
+3 DR
+2 HA
-3 PA
+0 IS

I will try it again soon to make sure it isn't offensive flow vs OD, but considering my passing on PG is 14, SG is 11, SF is 10, PF is 8 and C is 7 it seems a little ridiculous that it can be thwarted so easily.

I guess the defenses largely depends on the metagames since with the availability of cheap big men, every teams have the ability to put up some decent inside game so it makes playing 3-2 very hard unless your definitely facing an outside team.

2-3 is almost impossible to run since it gives up too much game flow and most teams that run LI run a SG at SF which as we know LI get your SF a lot of shots = 3s and easy jumpers.

unless the metagame shift and with more outside oriented teams that play defensive bigs rather than all out offense which seem to be a lot of a few seasons ago, 3-2 might see more plays.

Your PG shouldn´t be a decent shooter, if you want him to pass to a teammate. That´s my experience. If he has a good perimeter shot, he will take it instead of searching for a better mismatch.

You won because you put more effort into the game, had HCA, and found the right defensive tactic. You didn't win because of your offensive tactic.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the main reason for your PG's field day...2-3 defense.
