I would like to agree with you to make it easy but I don't think it is so. I don't think the BB's did half a shit when implementing this and testing a percentage based modifier in scrimmages was pure genius. A ten percent modifier is rather effect in D4 but that same percentage applied against a D2 quality defense leads to really stupid results. But they wouldn't know that by testing in scrimmages. We as a league have had a dozen bizarre outcomes due to GDP. My game against Pappy is a similar scenario.
As long as there's no asterisk beside my prodigious OD in the "Hall of Pointless Records Achieved in Losing Games But That We Still Hang Our Hat On Because We Ain't Winning Shit (Located in scenic Ames, Iowa)" (which, ironically enough, is actually in Topeka, Kansas. That whole Ames thing is part of the name). Generally I tend to think that people heavily overreact to any little change and people as a whole are just paranoid and senseless, but I'm kind of with you on the GDP. 10% is really, really strong, especially for a team like mine that has good defense spread out everywhere and a whole lot of mediocre offense. On the other hand, I suppose it has made me run LI a little more than I might otherwise have (and my game with you in the first half was going to be a test to see how it would work against a good inside team, until you went and failed to show up).
