SG vs PG for me
+1 JS
+4 JR
+3 DR
+2 HA
-3 PA
+0 IS

I will try it again soon to make sure it isn't offensive flow vs OD, but considering my passing on PG is 14, SG is 11, SF is 10, PF is 8 and C is 7 it seems a little ridiculous that it can be thwarted so easily.

I guess the defenses largely depends on the metagames since with the availability of cheap big men, every teams have the ability to put up some decent inside game so it makes playing 3-2 very hard unless your definitely facing an outside team.

2-3 is almost impossible to run since it gives up too much game flow and most teams that run LI run a SG at SF which as we know LI get your SF a lot of shots = 3s and easy jumpers.

unless the metagame shift and with more outside oriented teams that play defensive bigs rather than all out offense which seem to be a lot of a few seasons ago, 3-2 might see more plays.

Your PG shouldn´t be a decent shooter, if you want him to pass to a teammate. That´s my experience. If he has a good perimeter shot, he will take it instead of searching for a better mismatch.

You won because you put more effort into the game, had HCA, and found the right defensive tactic. You didn't win because of your offensive tactic.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the main reason for your PG's field day...2-3 defense.

Moutlinho's BB game analyzer tells us a lot about this match and your PG's part in it...I'm talking about the game your PG made 71 points.

Out of 63 shots taken, there were:

19 shots for 3
23 layups (one of them a dunk)
21 midrange jumpers

Out of those shots, these were defended (so no open look):

16 3s
10 layups
14 midrange jumpers

Open shots:

3 open looks for 3
11 open layups
7 open midrange shots

Out of 38 shots over defense, your PG succeeded to hit basket 17 times.
After pass, your PG scored 12 times and missed 9 times.

And now, let's not forget the defensive effort of your opponent...

His first C Piet defended 22 shots in 31 minutes; 5 of them went in and he fouled on one.
His other C Davenport defended 14 shots in 26 minutes; 9 (!) of them went in and he fouled on one.
His PG (watch this...) defended 6 shots in 33 minutes; 3 of them went in and he fouled on one.

So basically your PG has been shooting mostly over his other players and not his PG. Even having M2M, it seems that Patient works a bit like Motion; except Motion chooses between 5 players while Patient has a "locked" player with a small chance that the ball goes to another player. The locked player shoots over any player since obviously others are making screens for him.

It would be interesting to analyse your other Patient games and see if this theory is true. But I'm done with analysing for today
