Hang on this has been my same strategy, so as to try and stop you from promoting

(Some one actually once tried to make it as expensive as possible for me to buy a player that I wanted and they ended up getting stuck spending 3 plus mill on them)

Well you do have 3 home games left, but I reckon my calculations as to your finances and your weekly loses might have been fairly accurate

Consider me a man with a loaded gun and nothing to lose!

Consider me someone with a loaded cannon, who still can afford to buy some more cannon balls and also know that Im some one who is quite experienced in using that same cannon, where as you may very well have the gun pointed in the wrong direction

There are many things that are apart of this game - or any game. Pretty much anything you can do that is within the bounds and rules of a game are "part of a game".

What distinguishes a great player from the rest is the way they carry themselves, and whether they are able to win with dignity and class. You, my hopeless addict, win or lose, have absolutely no class.

Loaded cannon...cannon balls...quite experienced? Right. That's why you had to drop out of the ABBL, spend a shitload of money on trainees, then do such a crap job training them that you had to go whinging and whining to iwen and constantly harass the poor man until he finally gave in and added them to his roster.

Akuma and Sid it is great to see you battling it out, to be honest I don't like it when no-one tries and so it makes me very happy that this season there are at least four ABBL teams with a shot at the title (Whitebeard, Koopasaurus, Goldfish and Aussie Pride).

I hope everyone enjoys the banter as it makes the game a lot richer, I played another Basketball sim which has much, much better graphics and deep game play but I felt like I was playing a solo game. It is the rivalries that make it so much fun, just look at Miami and Chicago they wont even shake hands at the start of games now.

Akuma is rich and so is Sid. Great. Why wouldn't you go for it. Besides the status (and it would be legendary for Akuma if the took Duffman, Smeltz and the rest of the XBB crew to the ABBL) the money is insane. As I said I banked $5,000,000 in my tanking season plus a free season of training plus the top draft pick (was yet another bad draft). Promote, seriously tank, then bounce back totally loaded seems to be a great recipe several teams have used. Or you could just keep the roster you have and actually compete.

I dropped out because I wasnt enjoying the ABBL and I wanted to train trainees, I didnt have to drop out.

To say that he was weak enough to give into me and put a player of mine on the Australian Under 21 team, is a real insult to him.

I actually train SFs the toughest position of all and not just gameshape like yourself.

Williams has played twice in the team and I reckon on both occassions he has performed quite well.

He is a year younger than the other players on the team and in time may well be one of the very best SFs Australia has ever had, play in the Under 21s.

Ryder had no right to become a SF as he was 206cm tall and had pitiful OD.

He is a very very very good player and in about 5 seasons time may just be a better player for Australia than what Duffill has ever been

Your entitled to your opinion and like Ive said before I make no excuses for using a bit of gamesmanship, however I can also state that Ive never cheated on the transfer market (like a fair few of your friends from the XBB Federation were suspected of doing) and I dont go trying to arrange games (i.e. lets do a mutail TIE etc).

Believe it or not in RL im a very upfront honest person and if you are to promote I will endeavour to be the first one to congradulate you.

Bit of a personal attack on me, thats okay Im big enough to take it, are you okay though, is the financial stress getting too much for you?

I've just been a bit busy with other things and not replying to your last few forum posts. I've just been saving it up really and consolidating my thoughts into a few succint posts. Well just one really, but I couldn't resist replying to your reply.

Certainly not a personal attack, as this is a game after all, and I wouldn't go after anyone on a personal level. Apologies if you took it that way. I never accused you of cheating by the way.

What you call "gamesmanship" I call "irritating self-inflating posts". If they were designed to annoy me and motivate me to try and win, they worked! Thanks for your support and motivation though, I will also congratulate you if you win.

I will congratulate anyone but if they got to the Great 8 they must tank and in the Big 8 they must compete it has been painful having the top three teams in the Great 8 all of this season.

Akuma and hopelessly addicted has certainly provided the spark and entertainment in this forum. The ABBL has been somewhat quite of late.

I sense a big rivalry in the making, definitely going to tune into the playoffs for this league. Wouldnt be surprised if the salaries of these two teams went 600k+, which is a league avg for the ABBL. Teams competing for a title in the ABBL have salaries of 850k+.

As you know there have been a few $1,000,000 + salaries in the ABBL this season. I am sure you, Aussie and Goldfish have noted some of these big purchases and are considering the same.
