dunno what is so hard to understand.

dont trip people.
dont touch it with your hands while it is in play.
you cant be between the keeper/goal and the last defender when the ball is played to you. except when thrown to you in a thrown.

put the ball in the net

dead simple

and i agree rugby is boring. mainly cause i dont like it. this is league i am referring to. union is alrite

cant quite comprehend why if a defense is so crap they cant get the ball off the offense you should have to give the ball back to them

I used to mate, and SundayLeague.. but now am into GoalUnited.. fantastic online management game, the stadium building process and the youth system is unlike any other online soccer management game around. The deeper you get into the game the better it gets so it's always rewarding you for progress, and the developers are constantly improving the game. I highly recommend it if you like Soccer (and yes, I like Soccer lol).

I'm one of those poor souls who has lost about 10% of his life to soccer mgmt games like Championship Manager, USM and Football Manager just to name a few, so this is kind of refreshing as it's something completely different. Check it out ;)

i have looked at goal united but i didnt sign up.. just something about it.. may look into it, but might just stick with HT for now :D

i used to play Championship Manager back in the day, bought FM2011 and have just found they have taken it way to far.. i just want to get in, buy a few players, sell a few players and have a laugh... FM11 basically needs some kind of astrophysicist degree ..

I can understand they have tried to make "the most realistic football sim" out there, but damn sometimes realism just gets in the way of good old fashion fun :D I want to play a football manager, not a media manager or some crap like it :D

Haha I average about 30 hours a week on DT mate, it's almost a full time job lol having an extremely addictive personality doesn't help my cause!

As for the having to wait levels to build stuff in GU - I have only been playing for two seasons (less than 6 months real time) and am nearly at level 40, with the most state of the art facilities you can get at level 39. It is a matter of understanding how the game works and finding the quickest possible way to build your money and inturn, your stadium. Don't be discouraged by the slowness of it early on as you struggle to build up your bank account - all the good stuff happens thereafter!

In my first season I finished top of Div III, in my second top of Div II, I am now looking forward to seeing what I can do in Div I against the best Australia has to offer :)

I agree to an extent Skyhook - I guess it comes down to a degree of personal enjoyment - I like to completely delve head first into FM and control every facet of the club I'm managing, I move through days on that in about as much time as it might take you to zip through an entire transfer period (but as you said - you get enjoyment out of buying, selling, playing a game on there).

I do agree the press conferences are a pain in the arse, less media interaction in the game or a more automated process in that facet would help lol

Just want to say bains, I do understand soccer.
i get it, it's mostly strategy and "anticipation". however, watching it just isn't for me.
i dont hate it, it just bores me.

i hate rugby league, it's rubbish in my opinion.

i love bball, afl, and i like union.
i also enjoy watching golf, because i play it and appreciate how skilled they are.
tennis i dont mind, i'll watch some aussie open or wimbledon.

I used to play some championship manager game on the PC about 10 years ago, was ok.
BB is the most addictive thing i've played since World of Warcraft. (yeah yeah i know, but i quit.. i've been 12 months clean)

i'll give it another look in. i just want a youth thing so my youth team wont suck so bad

hmm turns out i missed the end of the season. i finished top so i cant complain

btw i wont my first DT final by 11 points over my bro. week off here we come!!

oh and ranga league is terrible isnt it.

i love soccer. and enjoy AFL - just watching some teams bores me. like richmond and north and port are so bad i get no enjoyment from watching them play like rubbish each week. even st.kilda and their boring footy makes it hard to watch (getting better though)

stazza - who do you support soccer wise?

Yea it definitely takes a while to get the youth system set up I found, but the youth team is really inconsequential in terms of the game, it is nothing more than a feeder system - the league counts for nothing ;)

Good work mate, your bro would be spewing hehehe. Winning this first week of finals was crucial if your team had 3 or more Geelong players in it, I have 5 so I was glad I won this week.

I've been a Man Utd supporter since I was 7 mate, my family are big on soccer amongst alot of sports so I got an early education so to speak. My father is Arsenal, my two older brothers Liverpool so you can imagine the years of arguments and near punch ons in my household growing up lol

I find it annoying that when I tell people I support MUFC that they immediately turn to the old "bandwagon" chestnut, pity for them I can roll off the names of my united heroes from the eighties as if they were current squad members. They tend to back off pretty quickly lol. I don't really have a Championship side although I've followed Wolves and Hull quite closely over the years, my mate who is an avid Newcastle man is trying to get me to join the Swansea bandwagon for a laugh this year and has already bought a group of us beanies so I'm gonna watch the Swans closely this year hehe

How about yourself mate?

well i had aspirations of making the final finishing third and all. so i slowly weened out my geelong, carlton and essendon players in preparation for the finals so i knew i could field a full squad. my only downfall last week was putting Goodes as captain for some insane reason. bro had swan as his.

How about yourself mate?

well i am a Charlton supporter. dont ask me why... started going for them when they were in the Premier league and have since fallen. but we have started 3-0 so things are looking up. my bro goes for spurs and dad utd so we have a mix bag also. although i always get stick about charltons relegation. also have a soft spot for the black cats, Sunderland because D.Bent spent a few seasons there. i miss the days of Holland, Parker, Bartlett, Bent, Bent, Rommedahl and those guys. hopefully the group we have now can lead us back to first division soccer, as the Saints appear to be doing atm and the canaries did last season.

and dont really follow a-league. just say i go for Heart cause i have mates who are victory fans but am more interested in the european soccer. love the bundesliga
