If we beat Colombia and Mexico beats Argentina, we are still pretty much in for sure in the 3rd spot. We would be tied with Argentina so it comes down to point differential. They are currently at +35 and we are at +32. So, unless we only win by 1-2 AND they only lose by 1-2, we will still be in.
Basically, beat Colombia and we finish third no matter what (excluding above scenario).

Germany and the Italy/Spain loser will be in 2nd chance - that's a tough road.

I think that's because no one scouted the division III teams during Season 6. We're lucky that the player was placed on the transfer list, otherwise he would still remain unknown for who knows how long.

The player was sold immediately after his team (Vancouver Vipers) was created over a year ago in our division III.15... I'm not sure when the Vancouver Vipers went inactive, but I think that the team's transfer history gets wiped once the team turns bot... and the Polish team that bought him is a third division club, which would make finding the player similar to finding a needle in a haystack, after Vipers went bot.
If the Polish manager didn't message anyone in the Canadian NT about the player, then it may be because he didn't think the player was good enough to be on the NT (as he wasn't good enough to make the Polska U-21 team last season)... here's a look at 2 polish centers on last season's U-21 Polska team
(6150289)
,
(6023695)
which would probably both be better options for the NT than our new find.
