I am fairly certain it was myself who put that stat up last time. I am quite glad that i am not the most expensive but the tips that i used when i got into this division were as follows:

* Dont be afraid to buy OLD players but be prepared to sell them later
* Youth is good but only if Training them
* Look for that bargain on the T/L, its worth it
* Your starters should have a 15K min salary

One point that i have noticed that you guys have been paying 600K+ for 22-23 year old with P.Allstar potential, i think that is a waste if you are not planning to train them and even if you are a 19-20 year old would do you better because they are easier to train.

These are some of the points that i have noticed. The Plebs are certainly look a bit better for the rest of the season but will it gel well, will he be able to use the right tactics??

Bring it on i say.

Very interesting. We have been buying and selling trying to get the right players but they are still elusive. Mad Rangas are clearly the best value team and have had great results so far, now that the cup is over for most, rosters settled and less surprised I wonder if they can go 7-1 in the crossover games. I think not.

what that stat tells me is that the Rangas have done an absolutely fantastic job in training their players, and that overall it is cheaper to pay trainees, than to buy established players off the market...
We had MUCH higher salaries last season, but made the decision to dump the salaries and invest in the Arena and in training. Biggest challenge for me in the short term is avoiding relegation, but if that happens so be it.. Long term, my team is far better off now than the 'stronger team' we had last season :D

well my tonites predictions are

spartans to hold stong against Cre by 8

be high to dismantle tassie by 35

Hippos plenty too strong for the improving Lakeshow by 23

beasts eating the falcons alive by 27

Blaze to torch skyhook's dreamers by 24

probs the hardest to choose but rangas cant keep pace away from home. MM by 9

Zed's one man army just good enough to beat Freesky by 9

Plebs over Sammydog by 13

i think u r way off on your prediction for the Blaze vs the Dreamers... i am expecting a record loss, and am treating the game purely as training mins for my traine. even if Blaze ties, i expect a 40-50 point shulacking :D sending out a team that would struggle in div 4 :D

i am picking

cre over spartans - home court advantage should get the W

be high over tassie

Hippos over lake

beasts over falcons

i gonna take rangas over MM

zeds over freesky

plebs over sammy

ouch that blows!

On the good news, my team (of two regular starters), managed to win massively tonight.

Still sitting up in 6th, without buying anyone to replace the massive selloff at season start.

You guys could get lucky and not see the Dons back in div 3 if things keep going this well! ;)

sadly all the teams i pencilled in for CT wins are done with now, TIE losses until after ASG now.
