It is hard to answer. It depends on his actual skills and even if a few managers knew them, all of them would answer differently. If he is really good he will get involved automatically - if he has the best JS of all your players for instance, he will shoot much when you play some outside-focused tactics, little less when you play Push the Ball or Base offense. The same is with his IS but the other way round.
You just need to try a look at your matches and box scores and you will see how the game engine works.
