Don't mean to bump the post but I have another finals related question.

What do people think about playing scrimmages during the playoffs? I am wondering if I might be better off not playing scrimmages to help minimise the risk of injuring players...I am already missing my starting SG.

I am thinking I may just look at doing team training should I decide to not schedule a scrimmage...what are people's thoughts?

I think that enthusiasm in the finals is similar to the regular season, only with some name changes. As far as I know, playoff crunch time = normal (regular season), and playoff normal = take it easy (regular season).

As for scrimmages during the playoffs, I think you definately should use them. Scrimmages are very important for both training and game shape managing, and I think they are well worth the injury risk. One thing you should do is add some minute filling scrubs to help use up any extra minutes in scrimmages that your regular players don't need. I find that, overall, 13 active players on my roster tends to work best for me (5 trainees, 6 guys for the other 2 positions, and 2 guys purely for scrimmage duty).

Playoff Crunch Time acts during the game as a regular season Crunch Time, but it has the effect at enthusiasm just like a regular season normal. Playoff Normal acts as a regulat season normal, but the enthusiasm effect is just like a regular season take it easy.

If purely your decision wether to play another scrimmages or not. If you put in a few weeks of team training like free trows or stamina, then everybody recieves training, when they played or not. But it's easier to manage the minutes of your players with 3 games, so that their gameshape is optimal than with two games. So unless your selection is quite small (less than 10 players), I would play a scrimmage and just use your normal training regime. Since it's mostly the backups playing in scrimmages.

What's the "default" setting of enthousiasm in play-off games??? I mean,non-bot teams that are though inactive won't set their line-ups but will play the same line-up they played all season long...Will they play on playoff Normal or Crunch Time..I should know cause I intend to use Normal in the first two rounds and then CT for the Finals but I don't want to lose to some inactive team..

Hope you understand what I mean,thanx..

I want what all men want...I just want it more.
