I reckon there will be some sort of session ID if the person is logged in with a security code instead of a password.

no this isn't the BBAPI, this is trying to access an aspx page, by external site i mean some site that has links to BB pages, not linked to BB data.

I understood the question, I was just tossing out ideas.

Not sure if I understand it but isn't it related to the unexpected log outs some of us are experiencing ? I have them sometimes and can always access the required page only not under my userid. It might look like i am linking from an external site but I am not, I am logged out in the process.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I noticed that with the new site I get an error (almost) every time I try to access a team-manager's page from a press release answer.
Not a big issue, actually, but maybe it could be useful to know!

Might it have something to do with the broken flag links in the NT roster pages?

When you click the flags from a NT roster page, it returns a file not found error.

Is the problem browser related? Or is it impossible to say that?

from what i have learned it seems to be IE mostly, but maybe also opera?

although i have never had the problem on my IE on XP, or opera on my mac.

course if i did have the problem it probably would have been fixed already... so sigh... i still aim to reproduce it.

I would love it if we could have users volunteer to have us Remote Desktop to their machines and see the problem happening and then be able to fiddle with things and immediately see if we fixed stuff.

So like right now today i made a change to the cookie settings, hoping it will fix it, but I don't know.
