Apologies. I find the forum quite difficult to use and follow and was unaware of the last election at all, I guess I should check it once in a while so sorry for the farce.

Do you know when this next election will be? Will keep my eyes open this time and vote for the best candidate.

Are you standing for U-21 post, taintum?

I'd like an additional challenge in this game but I think NT would be too much a jump for me, maybe U-21 to horne my skills but not this year since you're standing for it. Would support you though.

I won't be running for either NT or U21 for the foreseeable future - too many other online commitments to dedicate myself to such a job.

As I said in the other thread, I don't care whether he manager is Scottish in real life or has a Scottish team in BB. All I want is for the NT and U21 to be managed by dedicated users who care about the job.

First of all I wish to thank everybody for their support...that's a real step on inproving our NT and U-21 NT. I see your point and quite agree with DogNat...first of all we want a manager who care about its job...we know we don't have a team good enough to win something in the short run but we can step by step make our team better and better. I noticed for instance a few managers are training scottish youngsters and that's a good thing...unluckily our U-21NT Coach seems to be rather busy to notice that and give attention to it. Secondly I wish to thank Calum who did a good job in the end. We won what we could and I see he 's still interested in carrying on his task. In the next few weeks we'll see if new candidates step forward and together we're going to consider every possibilities but we can't forget what he did. So let's see...My point on having a scottish manager is about beeing easier to be involved on the whole thing but Calum proved to be an active and good manager, so I'm glad to have been wrong on this...if someone else wants to share his thoughts he's more than welcome...

Exactly. Even if we only have a handful of active managers we can still try to do the best with what we have got:
1. Try and get every decent Scottish draft pick either training in their draft club or listed to sell ASAP
2. Try to get the listed players into training clubs
3. Make sure these boys keep getting trained optimally right through to U21 and onwards to NT

I think we still have plenty of room to improve.

I noticed for instance a few managers are training scottish youngsters and that's a good thing..

Gaidhealtachd has a club policy of only signing Scottish players, so I'm training exclusively Scots. My young guards are developing nicely. :)

In the next few weeks we'll see if new candidates step forward and together we're going to consider every possibilities but we can't forget what he did.

Agreed. I think Calum has done a good job. Not sure if he will stand again, sounded like he has been struggling to find the time in the last few months. Calum - you reading this?

As for overseas managers I think S.Bock also proved he was a dedicated manager in the past and I'm very happy to see him around the forum still. If he decided to stand then I think he would be a very strong candidate.

Will be interesting to see who is interested in the job.

First of all thanks for the comliments and some facts:

After this season, we have the election for the NT-Coach.. for the election of the new U21-coach we have to wait for the end of the 11th season.

@Taintum ... what do you think about the senior-NT-coach-job? I noticed, that you wanted to be the U21-coach, but the next election will be the senior coach. -- For me it would be interesting to work again together with you (I think, the 2nd time would be even much better ;-) )!

I would like to do the U21-job, but the senior-NT is interesting, too. Another possibility would be to help a "younger/new" coach with his job.

Hi guys.

I've been reading all your posts and have watched what's going on to get an idea if i should run again. I really enjoy coaching my national team (I am Scottish but joined US league because there was no Scottish league at the time!!) so I will very likely run again (but not against a preferred candidate)

I have to say though, on activity levels, Bock or Taintum probably have more time to invest in the overall management of it. I've been using really time-efficient tools like BB-Scouter which really is amazing, you dont have to click around trying to find all the Scottish players, you can just get list of them all and their respective salary/skills. Brilliant! And i would continue to use this method, and wouldn't need/want a support team.

If there is a high level of activity, im not sure on the input that people will want to have. I've always been a bit of a 'put a rabbit out of a hat' kind of manager when it comes to tactics, and it wouldn't do to discuss them in the forum!

I'll tell you one thing though, i will find the time to make a new logo/banner for the Scotland team! I made the Canada one amonst others so i feel a bit lazy that i haven't updated ours yet. check out http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g166/calumt1/BuzzerBeat...

So, my 2 cents would be choose, as a community one of the following... Taintum for full NT-coach, with Bock (and me if desired) giving input. Possibly voting Bock for U21 next season. Or.. voting me for another term, promising i'll put more time into it, but it will unlikely be as much as the other 2 guys. But maybe i'll do a better job picking the team/tactics? Haha, i dont know about that! :D

I'm totally down for whatever you think best, and wish the best of luck to anyone running.

Thanks for your support and time. Personally I am not that interested in running our NT but hopefully we'll have a good coach anyway. I'm more than sure of that. At the moment I prefer to work finding young prospects and I'll wait for a chance next season. We know both Calum and Bock and they did a good job in the past so I think that whever will be our coach is very important for him to have some support with suggestions, new prospects, training. If Calum thinks that Bock will suit more the job than him personally I'm ready to support that. If both of you would like to stand his chance just give us an idea about your involvment level in NT, so that we can see what to do. Obviously the fact that both of you have been on this forum and interested in Scotland gives us a good picture of the situation. As far as I can I'll try to give advice and help (when I have some to give) to our NT. Let's say I like to be a senator...

Just a quick consideration: Rick James has a manager approval rated at 0%...worst ever. No comment about that. Hope things will change ...

Wow - that's quite impressive! (Or should that be unimpressive..?)

Anyway, the whole thing isn't good.
