look inside and 3-2 or 1-3-1 if you're stronger inside

hey just an added question.

R&G is a high intensity or higher pace tactic, so is it better to use a slower paced or higher paced defense?

same with an offensive tactic, is it better to have a higher pace tactic against a higher pace offense tactic or does that not matter?

I don't think defenses come in high or slow pace, just increased area focus (inside or outside)

Actually defense tactics do have a pace. 2-3 and 3-2 are slow. FCP is very fast and in between are m2m and 1-3-1. At least the Game Manual states this.

FCP is indeed fast paced defense.

i'm not sure the others have pace...

from my experience, there is no difference in game pace weather i play m2m or 2-3 or any zone
so generaly i would say defense has no pace, except FCP

A look at the rules always helps and I think it is what the previous guy was referring to:

2-3 Zone: Increased inside defense and rebounding at the expense of a lot of perimeter defense. Somewhat slow pace.

3-2 Zone: Increased perimeter defense at the expense of interior defense. Slow pace.

I believe that the rules were changed at some point, though. I don't remember the reference to pace for defences, although maybe I'm just not remembering right.

yes but that that's not quite the same as it is with offense...

base - push the ball
low post - look inside
and so on

most tactics have slow and high pace equivalents... it's not the same for the defense
